I found the site trying to do some research on econonimal engagement ring purchase options.

This site is so full on information it makes my head spin.

I have to be honest in that I don''t think I have the patience to do full research on diamonds. I don''t want to be a gemologist, but do want to buy my special lady a ring for a fair price.

I came across the James Allen site and the pre set options and can''t help to think I would get a fair deal.

My question is, would this be a foolish purchase?

I appreciate all your help.

This is such a neat on-line community you have here.

Regards,

i'd rather pick my own stone.

unless you're going 1/3 ct or less-not much price difference anyway between stones w/reports and stones without in smaller sizes.

lucky thing is, you don't actually need to do research. tell us what you want. PSers are like hounds.

also, I don't think pre-sets are eligible for trade-ins or buy-back.

So you can''t take a pre-set in for an upgrade if that was wanted down the road?

I did some more asking last night and now it looks like I''m looking for a three stone ring. My sweety is adding my dementions to this purchase.

Thanks for the help.

I know the feeling. My GF has changed her mind about 5 times and it has me doubting my selection. I finally settled on a 3-stone WF ring. I''m hoping she likes it.

You mentioned that you didn''t think they would have a report.

This is what I pulled off the website.

"Center diamond accompanied by GIA Laboratory report."
