Jeff White Sapphire - the rough is in shipping!!!! EEEEK!

I probably told you before, but I had the same ring...dark oval sapphire with diamonds around it. I might take that ring apart and use the diamonds in a new ring if I ever get a better sapphire! Jeff is still looking for me, too.

So we're Princess Diana Twins, huh? Geez, how many of those did they make/sell? Mine was a healthy size, 7mm x 9mm stone, but rather shallow so only about 1.7cts.

I only have one pic of it (it was attached to the appraisal). I looked at it today and thought it was really dark. Then I remembered what it symbolized and how I wore it every day for 20 years with love and affection....

So in spite of the fact that I'm thrilled with the prospect of getting a new ring, I still miss the original!

The diamonds around mine weren't the greatest (pre-pricescope...duh! PRE-INTERNET!)


You should see the 2ct round that jeff just e-mailed me: TO DIE FOR. But the shape doesn't work for me.

LS, I''m sorry that sapphire didn''t work out. It''s a beautiful color, but I agree it''s just a little too light. I''m sure something will come up soon.

That 2ct round sounds intriguing!

Maybe I should sell you mine.

(Just kidding, of course!) I think mine is about 2.5 carats, but it is likely about the same size face up.

Yes, those were the days of the Princess Diana copies! What a beautiful and timeless design it was, though!
