dumb question but what is the network? I am in Canada and am not sure where to find it.

No not a dumb question at all. I have DirecTV and it is 367. Do not know what you have there. They have jewelry and gemstones at all different price levels.I have bought a number of items from them over the years and returned a number of items also as I am getting MORE persnickaty.Never had a problem with returns and that is really a good thing because things look different after you get them in person.Sometimes better & sometimes worse. They also promptly return your money as where GSN takes FOREVER. I recently had some items appraised that I purchased from them and was very pleased. The appraiser could not believe what I paid. They have a website and also you can watch the live viewer...here is the link...

Jewelry Television™ - Changing the way America buys Jewelry.™

I have learned so much watching the show.It is very informative and keeps you up to date with news in the trade. They are the ones that got me started in Tanzanite after seeing a piece while I was shopping out of town. I personally like the memo pieces they have ever so often and the Red Carpet line with Frank. They have had some nice pieces on today. Check it out and let me know what you think...

I ordered some loose stones over the weekend, I''d been waiting for the free shipping. A few weeks ago I got a really cute white gold bracelet.

Yes free shipping helps...Hope you like your stones.

I would love to see some of this treasure! I did watch a little yesterday but I''m not a big fan of their hosts/hostesses so I kept flipping back between GSN and the Food Network.

I do know that Canadians don''t get free shipping and we have to pay duty on anything more than $20.00,just in case you order.

I looked over the products on the website and wasnt too impressed most of the stones have pretty bad windows.

I think maybe the pics are not good, maybe a glare. The picture of my stone looks to be a window but in person there is no window. When you see them show a stone on the screen and then see the picture on the website...there is lots of difference. Not saying there aren''t any with windows.

that stone definatly has a window but they arent always that glaringly odvious in person for various reasons in some cases in person.

When I bought my Tanzanite from Jewelery TV, it looked like it had a window on their website. When I received it there was no window. It was a beautiful eye clean stone. I, for one, hate windows in stones.

If mine had a window, I would have sent it back.

Here''s those stones I bought during jewelry fest. They all look good to me. The amethyst is 7mm and concave cut, the citrine is 8mm x 6mm, it does window a bit, but the cutting style is cool, and plays with your eyes, the two peridots are 8mm x 6mm, and look really good, the vesuvanite is 6mm x 4mm, and the zircon is 5mm. I got all of these for about $26, so I''m not complaining. The colors are much better in person.

Mustang Gal,

Your stones are really pretty. What are you going to do with them?

Linda

OK, so I''m a nerd

, I''m starting a "gemstone alphabet" collection. I bought a gem jar case that has 25 jars (i''ll have to double up one letter), and I want to get a stone that starts with each letter of the alphabet. I already have a green beryl, a morganite, some small sapphire and tanzanite, a few garnets, a ruby, and a quatrz.

a word of warnng to jtv junkies!!!!!!!

I am glad that you have had good luck with your parcels but a word of warning.....don''t buy the large parcels like the 220 ct and above. they put about 200 cts of filler stones in and very few stones that they are always advertising. the great amount of diamonds, tanzanites, etc... i always bought the advertised kits in the past with some success. then i got brave and ordered the large parcel....tommy always says that the large parcel will give you a better chance for better stones...not true. it was horrible i spent $300 on the parcel and they gave me about 50 cts of amethist white topaz bad citrine common garnet(not even the nice stuff) and really bad ruby''s. there was nothing to be excited about.

i returned the parcel of course.. i even called and asked the customer service if they use a different bucket to pull the large parcels from,,, of course they replied that everything comes from the same batch... that is bull....what is the chance of getting even amounts of the gems listed above... they are not trying to get new customers with the large parcels and they dont spike the pot if you know what i mean.... they would loose new customers if they had gotten that bull crap. If you want a chance to get anything of value your best bet is to get the kits that the hosts are pushing.....that is their marketing ploy to get new customers......i think that they need to take care of their loyal customers or they will loose us to. but i don''t think they really care. they brag about how many new customers they are getting every day. i think they are making a great mistake.
good luck.......

Do any of you ever call and ask for them to show a piece of jewelry from the turntable? Do they EVER show it? They NEVER do for for me.
