Hey Blackberry, thanks! Price-wise, the ring fell into the same neighborhood as the majority of rings that are listed on Julia''s site right now. I didn''t want to disclose the exact amount, but that should give you a good idea.

Arcadian - How can I mind? This one was inspired to a large degree by the beautiful aqua rings she made for Vizsla.

No ring in today''s mail . . .crossing my fingers that it will be in tomorrow''s . . .

Le sigh.

The USPS disappoints yet again. Julia mailed the ring via Priority, which clearly states 2-3 days. Today was the third day. No package.

I''m disgruntled with the USPS anyway. Their tracking is abysmal, and for some reason a lot of my packages lately have been sent through a cooperation . . . UPS or FedEx transports them until they get local, and then hands them off to the USPS for actual delivery. Only . . . You stalk the tracking, see that it arrives here and is transferred to the USPS, and then four or five more mail delivery days go by with no package. I don''t really understand why this third-party shipping is being used -- I''d much rather be given the option to pay an extra dollar (b/c this transfer method shipping is just about as much as a regular UPS ship) or something if it meant I''d get my things in a regular amount of time. END RANT!

Sorry . . . I just think if you are a shipping company, and "guarantee" a certain time frame, you should at least attempt to be proud of living up to it. LOL Can you TELL I''m getting impatient to see my Acorn???

Alright, everyone, I just signed for the ring a few minutes ago . . . I was so excited that I didn''t even take GOOD pictures, but I DID take a LOT of them . . . so bear with me. I think there''s 11 pics. Most of them are v.similar but I''d catch a different flash from the stone and I want to share them all! LOL.

This was straight out of the packaging, on my computer desk. The overhead light was on, but it''s a bit behind me.

Still in the office at my desk, I held up the ring a little to catch the light . . . and there was my little fireball!

I went into the kitchen to catch some natural light . . . the day is overcast with no direct sun.

There was no doubt this was going to be a tall ring, but it''s actually REALLY a manageable height for me.

I envy people that are so comfortable wearing tall rings, because for me, that would be too tall. But its sooo gorgous that I''d have to rethink it few times lol
