No, two sacs don't mean fraternal vs. ID. The OB didn't mention if he could see the placenta(s), so I'm going to be really curious if there are two or one. Even though I would love ID twins (and it's possible but not as likely for them to be ID with two placentas), the risks go down significantly with two placentas instead of a shared one. So I'm anxiously waiting to see if I get a 12 week scan at my next appointment. Two sacs does reduced a lot of risks though, so I'm really happy that there are two sacs instead of one. So we won't know if they're ID/fraternal unless we have a boy/girl, or if they have different blood types at birth. Either than those two it would most likely take genetic testing.
