Anyways my SO proposed two weeks ago and I am floating on air since then! We have been together three and a half years and we were on holiday together in Samoa... he got down on one knee on a tiny deserted beach at sunset and it was perfect. (He was terrified I would say no for comedy value, as if!)
Although we had been ring shopping I was still really surprised (wasn''t expecting anything until at least middle of 2009)
My ring is on its first version and must go back to the jewellers to be remade (I want the halo to appear more delicate and the centre stone to be lower). I''ve only managed to take one good picture but I will try harder once it is back from the jewellers next time. For details, it is a 3.7c pink sapphire centre with approx 1c in halo and is white gold. Ring size is N, no idea what that is outside Oz, sorry!
For all LIW out there, I took heart many times from this forum whilst waiting for my boy (or at least pretending to!) thanks to you all for posting.
