Just purchased this diamond:

I was browsing the site and have found a bunch of diamonds (BGD Select) that seem to be "better value"... especially this one:

http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond/diamond-details/?product_id=27072983 -- which is almost .5ct larger but only a few thousand dollars more.

Also - I picked out these ones which I also seem to think would be better value than the one I picked:

These ones are almost the same price and much larger:

http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond/diamond-details/?product_id=26345650

This diamond seems to have the same specs as the one I picked but at a much lower cost:

... same with this one, almost 10k cheaper but close to the same specs as the one I purchased:

What is your opinion on this? I'm planning my proposal soon so I would really like to get this sorted out. I can't help but think I may have made the wrong decision when I can get a much larger diamond with similar specs for the same cost - or a similar diamond for much less.

Any help is appreciated for this newbie!

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using the HCA tool? You can use it to 'reject likely bad performing diamonds to narrow down your final selection'

A diamond can have similar specs but perform in a completely different way to another diamond. I would speak to BGD. They are very open and honest and approachable. If you tell them your concerns they will help you to choose a diamond that is that size you would like but that will perform beautifully too.

These are all not in-house stone, probably not H&A if that is what you want, no actual image of the stone is posted. Probably going to involve a cost in calling it in and have the images taken. These are also not eligible for buyback/upgrade policy.

Last stone do not even have the GIA report uploaded.
