Oooooh, I'd love to see it!!

This is what I do: Go to my photo editing program and open picture. Hit "edit" (on top) and a menu drops down. Hit: Image size. A box appears showing the dimensions of the pic as it is. Change one number (heigth or width) and the other changes automatically. 300 "pixels" is a nice number...

Then save new size.

Don't forget to rename the new pic to something really simple..a few letters or digits only.

I do hope this helps, because I'm DYING to see your honker!!!

I am not starting a contest- I think all of the PS stones in all different sizes are gorgeous. For some reason I''m yearning to look at the ginormous ones and day-dream this morning... weird, huh?

Are you talking about diamonds or gemstones (semi-precious gemstone, too)?

If you talking about both, I have a 36 carats+ purple diamond, sorry...sorry...wrongly typed. I mean amethyst. I cannot afford to buy a large diamond to show you guys. Five carats and over for a diamond must cost a fortune, I think at least $100,000 for a good quality one

I''m a newbie. I wish I had discovered P''scope before my wedding. There is so much to learn and the eye candy is endless. All the rings posted here are simply stunning and beautiful. I''ve showed my DH this site and boy, did his jaws drop to the floor! I don''t know whether I will ever own diamond over a carat and above. Its very expensive to purchase stones over a carat from where I''m from.

Thanks for all the comments -- I know it''s a little (ok, a lot) gross, but I love it -- I wanted "something that would take my breath away" each time I looked at it. I''ve only had it three weeks. I will resize all the photos, I have shots of just the stone, the wax, and from different angles.

Here are the specs:

10.28 oval brilliant
(the stone came from a 19 carat rough from Russia)
17.16 x 12.59 x 6.96 mm
VS1 -- J color

Setting has 66 2.0mm (2.13 ct)
42 1.80 mm (1.00 ct)
24 1.60 mm (.40 ct)
16 1.30 mm (.16 ct)
TOTAL: 148 diamonds, 3.69 ct
all are VS1-H
platinum

The stone and custom-designed setting were both purchased from Arthur Groom Jewlers in Ridgewood, NJ (where we also purchased my original e-ring 20 years ago!)

Your ring is just stunning. Most of my friends have 2-5cts. on their fingers. I have only seen stones the size of yours a few times out and about. I would probably just stop and drool. Pass the drool bucket!!
