Just wanted to give a heads up to any other PS members who are seriously interested .... please check my listing on ebay (jeaniefish) and not hard to find, as I have only one listing right now. The description tells it all. I'm done with ebay after this week if this gorgeous ring doesn't find a new owner. Even though I really don't want to split up the two, a "dealer" made me what I thought was a serious (though not terrific and I'd rather not disclose it) offer for the center diamond. Only after agreeing to sell him the diamond, did he say that he intended to send a bank wire transfer within 4 hrs. of receiving it in NYC. :naughty: You can see why I'm done with ebay.

I'm willing to consider a layaway plan for another PS member as I would love for this much discussed and admired Leon Mege' ring to go to another PSer..Please e-mail me via my DB listing if you are seriously, and I do mean seriously, interested. I'm just worn out from all the lowball offers from "dealers" and messages from ladies who want the ring but have to ask their DH or DF or SO first and then never get back to me. I don't mean to sound rude, I really don't, but I'm just about done with diamond reselling. It isn't for the faint-of-heart,that's for sure! Thanks for letting me vent! :errrr:

You're sending the diamond to the dealer before he pays for it??
I'm not sure I read that correctly....

Nope! That's what he asked me to do, saying that I wouldn't have to pay any fees that way.He saw the ring listed on DB first,not ebay. Anyway, I just can't send out a diamond C.O.D! has anyone here ever done that?? I'd love to know!
 
We don't have a "references" mechanism here on PS, but I'll say that we bought my e-ring diamond from Jeanie and she's an honest seller :) I would definitely buy from her again!
 
No, you don't ever send a diamond until you have received payment. Some people use an appraiser such as Neil Beatty for a middle man which can protect both parties.

Jeanie, when you post here, you always are supposed to provide the link to the item in your first post!

Thanks for all your posts, comments and help...a special thanks to Marymm and Mom2boys (again) for your tech. help. I tried to paste the links, using the instructions provided, but still wasn't able to do it. I guess that makes me totally hopeless and I won't be able to post anything in Preloved again.

The dealer that I have been going back and forth with is a high volume buyer on ebay with tons of positive feedback and no negatives.He contacted me after he saw my DB listing.He seems like a nice guy. However, he is used to seeing the "goods" before he pays,if it is a high dollar sale, so I don't think that there is going to be a transaction btwn us.He lives in NYC , I'm in TX., and I don't have the intestinal fortitude to send my diamond off as a C.A .D.(collect after delivery) :eek:

Another dealer,also well known on ebay, offered me slightly less and, same as the first dealer, for the center diamond only. I really thought that I had priced this gorgeous ring so that it would go quickly to another PS member, especially one of the girls ( I can call them girls cuz I'm waaaay older than they are) who had seemed so interested in it before I bought it.Oh well..

I don't want to take the diamond out of that gorgeous LM setting.However, my dream sapphire isn't going to wait for me forever. What to do, what to do... :?:

I'm not too surprised the LM ring hasn't sold yet: the market of people who appreciate an LM setting, who also have the tolerance for SI2, the budget for this stone, and the ring size within its sizing limitations... absent some stroke of luck, it's gotta take a while to find a match!

Yes, I agree! It's gotten some interest here and there, I just think being patient if you can. I'm in the same boat so I feel your pain. It is a gorgeous ring though and I'm sure the right new owner will come along eventually!!

jetmal I just found out that the sapphire I want is not as expensive as I thought it would be so I've reduced the price for the LM ring. I'm not interested in selling the center diamond alone and stopped that potential sale to an ebay dealer.
I'm offering a layaway plan to any DB or PS member through the DB listing. I would really love for this ring to go to someone who saw and fell in love with it last year.

Your ring is gorgeous and I hope we both find the buyers who will love our rings as much as we have.

Vacation is when you go on holiday somewhere else. Staycation is when you spend it at home or close by. It is a word that was coined a couple of years ago when money started getting tight, gas got real expensive, and people no longer could afford to travel far for a vacation.
 
which means the ring is probably no longer available. Kinda bummed, looked like a beautiful diamond at a great price, i'm surprised no one pounced on it :)
 
Its going to Jewels By Erica and Grace as a consigment piece. So, it "stays" there until someone purchases it :twirl:
 
I *think* i may have found it there, but no specs are posted and no price. I passed it along to the boy and am walking away :). Wish I knew this forum was around 2 weeks ago :).
 
nicstx-I haven't seen if it's on the site with a price yet, but it may be headed for the sneak peek newsletter. If so, you may be able to get a "preferred" price. You can sign up for the newsletter (that comes out very soon) on their new arrivals link....
