Let's play a game... rainbow gems.

Orange is next and here is my Mexican fire opal partially in its covering/sheath. Got this ring from Sally Heart Of Water ages ago.

Yellow plays next!IMG_20120218_124613.jpg

Ooh so pretty. Pls tell me more about this stone!

It’s a ruby and I have an entire thread on it, and that’s all I’ll say because I’ve spammed this forum with it enough to give even the most patient person a headache.

Haha I am gonna go look up your thread. I adore rubies and yours is so pretty.

Stunning, as usual, @icy_jade! It looks like a giant sunflower. :kiss2:

@rubyshoes Yvonne certainly does make the most of those deliciously saturated stones in her designs, doesn't she? What a great piece for spring! It's very regal looking.

And I’m also taking purple - mostly purple bi-colored spinel that is rather poorly cut (to much window).3DFB4626-B34C-4E1B-B428-E698DB0E50F5.jpeg1D82453B-46E1-4DEE-BE57-DE676FB5C63E.jpeg04732D8B-556F-4D91-9B6A-82EA6BDB1F3C.jpeg

Next is pink, if my memory is correct.

I don't see a window! But I love the concave cut. I'm also really enjoying the cut on your blue one. I think I'd set that one in a 3-stone design flanked by a couple of kite-shaped diamonds. :appl:

my green from yesterday cant count because they were pearls
and i didnt even know it was St Paddy's day :lol-2:
but i wore some dyed green freshie pearl earrings gifted to me by my late FiL

Thanks, @Daisys and Diamonds, I shall be waiting for the next round of green! Now that @alh56 has shown her fresh green bracelet, it is time for blue. @Autumn in New England may I submit my cobalt blue Mahenge spinel now that it has been set? I am so thrilled with it. Thank goodness that despite all my whining, I didn’t return it (your good advice). B6F56EC2-B773-4047-AB3E-6A079CD7DBD7.jpeg9F574357-422A-46C0-913E-A7861D81949F.jpeg

Oh I'm just so thrilled you kept her!!!!!!! And what beautiful justice you did in "dressing" her. She's magnificent! And it's an unexpected look that you paired the stone with yellow good. The color is so well saturated that it can hold its own against anything. Big congrats!! :appl:

Thank you @Autumn in New England for persuading me to keep her and oh my, how the prices of Mahenge cobalt spinels have climbed. Yes, I thought the yellow gold contrasted well with the blue. The design was suggested by a jeweller who has been in the trade for over 50 years.

so ...........................
what's happening out there ?

lets just jump back to green and kick start this thread again :lol-2:

Haha, what a wonderful idea, @Daisys and Diamonds. I don’t know where in the rainbow we are now, but I suppose the idea is to get going again!
@icy_jade thanks for those happy pieces, jumping back on the saddle.
I have no indigo to go after the blue.
How about we go to pink/red?
I felt like watermelon because it has been so warm here.
This is a recent order, not here yet.D63DB253-CB0C-4F0E-8380-F53806B5E5DE.jpeg95A8EFEC-94C7-4912-9A27-EDF636D860E7.jpeg
