I think I can see it in just about any color! After looking at the blue so much, I am almost changing my mind!

How do you guys think it would look with a micro-pave halo?

pink on this is gorgeous....

Yes the pink on that is stunning. Is it a sapphire?

Its the ring on the first page photoshopped pink...lol so I think so.

Innerkitten,
The original is a diamond, it''s just photoshopped to pink and blue.

sorry that first bluee was not the right file....

Topazery is a good vendor ...and I LOVE Beverly K settings! I''ve been drooling over that for a while hoping someone on here owuld buy it! HAND SHOTS!

If you decide to go the route of picking your own stone or customizing the setting and Tapazery can''t help. Pearlmans can. Bill''s great and he carries Bev K.

Thank you!! I will check it out! My main problem is that I have to have platinum (shoot, right?) and for whatever reason gemstone rings set in platinum seem to be rare. It is definitely great to get ideas from other places though!

On a side note, does anyone have any idea of how long it takes to have a ring custom made? I had my previous e-ring custom made, but he just ordered a stock mounting and diamond....

You guys are the best!

Bev K settings come in Platinum. Go to pearlmans. Bev K will customize their settings a bit.

Question for Irina:

CAn you PM me and take me through the process y ou used on this and see if we are using simalar PS techniques?

Thanks

Should have known... too pretty to be real!

Thanks Gypsy, this is a ring from last year though... would they still be able to work with it? I am having Wink draw up an estimate for a similar ring, but with a MUCH more simple halo at the top and a Richard Homer sapphire...

Someone finally bought the original from Topazery... hopefully they are a PSer and will post some hand shots!!

The setting is still available from Bev K. I would call Pearlmans and ask. I found the Bev K prices reasonable myself. You could then put a Richard Homer in there. Would look beautiful.

I think getting a setting from Bev K might be less expensive than custom.

Thanks guys! I have emailed Pearlman''s, we''ll see what they say! I also learned that they are not too far from me.... hmm.... might have to take a trip to their store!

Pearlman''s was lightening fast to respond! I have to call them, but they seem to think they can get it... my concern is getting the right pink color that I am looking for, I didn''t think Pearlman''s did a lot of custom work. Thanks for the tip though guys!!

It is a wonderful ring set, and has been in my minds eye for months! I am having a similar ring set made, and have kindly asked Mr Photoshop man to have a go at changing the colours for me.

My ring is to have a central oval white sapphire - .85ctw - and an excellant cut and graded VVS - and I am hoping to accent with alexandrites...although my idea is slightly different than this ring set, in as much as I am having a double bezel on top, and not pave, but slightly larger stones in the main ring, and a plain main ring shank. The eternities will be almost like pictured here, but 3/4 and not full.

The alex's I have are beautiful, small but a lovely green blue, and a good colour change - I just pray I have enough of them!

When my sapphire is at last in my hands, I want to put it next to the alex's - just to really see how it works...but have some 2.75 perfect green sapphires coming also - so double choice!

I would need to buy some slightly smaller green sapphires though, for the eternities if I went the full sapphire path.

Views on this project guys?

I just wanted and am aiming for something not too colourful - something understated - and hoping this works well together - we shall see!

Actually...talking of spinels and different colours...

Imagine that ring set in gorgeous clear deep ruby red...

Yummy yummy...

Nooooooooooo - I can''t change my mind now!

hmmmm!

Where are you having it made? I was quoted about $10,000, without the center or eternity stones to have it made in platinum! I guess I should have just purchased this one..... I think your project sounds lovely! Can''t wait to see pictures!!

Hi again

I'm in the UK and my rings are being made by a very good friends contact, outside of the UK, in Europe, he is a local craftsman, and excellent at what he does, but not into the reall jewellery trade thing - he makes for pleasure

His work is excellent, but no CAD facility - just images in both our heads! A little bit like flying blind! but he does know how I want it to look, and my gem lady is perfect at explaining it all to him. He is a rare find...I dare not tell you my costs for my project!

Your $10k quote sounds waaaaaaaaaaaay high though for an adaptation of the Beverley K set, I think it was on Topazery for about $4.5k - so a large hike for a little tweaking. Would Beverley K do a bespoke version for you?

(Edit - just saw the platinum bit - I guess $10k isn't so vast then!)

Til later

Thanks for the information! I actually asked for a much simpler version of that ring, none of the handcarving or detail work that the original Beverly K has. I would just like a simple halo-set stone with a pave band and 2 eternity rings in matching pink. I live not too far from Pearlman''s, who deals in BK, so I''m planning a trip over this summer to see what they can do. Though my plans keep a-changing since I''ve found this board.... Chrono''s asscher cut pink spinel just makes me drool....

That ring is beautiful in both colors but i think the vibrant pink just pops. The ring will be a head turner!

What programs do you guys/girls use to change the stone color that is so cool! It would make my life of explaining to the jewelrs what I want to buy alot easier if i can just take a ring and pop in the color i want!
