I am becoming fatigued trying to find something which I really though should be simple to find...
I'm trying to find a simple gold locket. 14k / 18k. Something that is not tiny, but I'm also not looking for a lodestone. I think I was looking at around 22 or 24 mm though I am open to suggestions if I am off on size.
My problem... it seems like 99% of every online shop I go looking at, as soon as you say "gold jewelry" just red-lines the needle at scams and shady dealers. It is insane. The options seem to be get massively overcharged at a known name (zales) or go to some lesser known one which has 50% of the reviews stating they are a scam and running significantly underweight on the claimed metals. The only other option is using a nearly complete unknown and going Etsy or the like... which is a complete black box if you don't actually know the person.
Where can I find a legit seller who won't rip me off on something I really thought was going to be a quick and simple purchase? I've had very good suggestions on Pricescope for diamonds, (which I still need to post pictures of here -- shout out to David Klass for being a great Jeweler on that front) so I figure I'll try my luck here again for a non-diamond purchase.
Any suggestions?
