Looking for an OEC - would love some help!

Of those 3, I really only like #1. It seems brightest. #2 has a big inclusion that is a disqualifier for me, and #3 looks a little lifeless in the center.

I like the 3.04 that Dreamer shared.

I also really love this one, thought it's an old mine, and not up to your size specs.

Yes that’s my American cut, which is a very late transitional stone. Basically it has modern round proportions but much fatter arrows and a higher crown and smaller table. It’s only like 55% deep?. I loved that mounting but my finger size changed so much and it was time for a change. It’s the same diamond in my three stone ring from CVB.

So sorry to hear about your Kitty. It’s so worrisome and heartbreaking when our fur babies get sick. I hope the chemo will be effective.

I’m no help with choosing a diamond however…

Thank you <3 I’m trying to remain positive but I’m aware how quickly things can go downhill with cancer and kitties. Either way, I wish we never had to say goodbye :(

Yes lots.

The table is large for that style of cut. I think the photo has been photoshopped perhaps because it looks strange and I would expect it to have issues with obstruction under the table.

These little moving videos are not very helpful in assessing old cuts IMO.

I feel this with my soul!!!! I feel like I see these insta sellers posting nice 4ct for $25k and then I see similar stones selling for $45k…. Which one is “normal”

I do feel like Freds prices are all over the place so I just wonder if he prices according to when he picks it up ? Because I see similar ones with very different prices, or ones with worse specs priced higher than what I would consider is a better one

It’s like I know that these deals exist but maybe I’m just not patient enough for them ?! lol!!

That’s me too, lol! I lack a bit in the patience department! Maybe this time I can exercise a tiny bit more in hopes of finding “the one” ;)

I definitely recommend patience! Take time to get a feel for what’s out there, see some (many) stones in person to learn what you love.

I’ve been quiet on this thread because there is a stone I’m stalking but I don’t want to post it just yet due to lurkers. My bonus is 10 days away and I want to be able to pay in full and pull the trigger when THE stone comes up! Plus there are more active OEC posts that I’ve been reading and soaking in all the knowledge and advice :)
