OOOHHH how fun! Jealous...hope we can do another on in Philly!
 
Then Skippy and I took a little stroll up Michigan Avenue and Oak Street hitting Trabert and Hoeffer, Lester Lampert and Graff along the way. Unfortunately the new Harry Winston store was closed by then but hopefully Skippy will have time to pay them a visit while she''s here. Oh, and I have found my new yellow diamond! Now if I can only get the guy at Graff to come down 90% off of the already reduced price I''ll be there promptly with my checkbook...

Ah, what an amazingly fun lunch! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Dee, one day you''ll get my nerves up enough to go into Graff...I''ve only been dying to do so since I started visitiing Chicago 4 years ago!

OH I''M SO JEALOUS I COULDN''T MAKE IT!!!!!

I was running around like a crazy woman moving paperwork and checks from one place to another to get ready for our house closing this Friday. SOB!

It looks like you guys had a great time. I''m going to move mountains if I have to in order to make it to the next Chicago GTG. Honestly. I keep on missing them, and it certainly wasn''t because I was doing anything fun.

I KNOW. All their desserts come with beautiful presentation, and they are all as delicious as they are pretty. At least the ones we saw/had when we were there last summer were. The food was really good too, and the room we sat in was on a rounded corner room (second story), with reallllly tall windows all around, great view. It's really a cool place to eat. (and prices amazingly weren't bad, for Chicago)

Hmm...I did ask DJ to photoshop me so I look a little more like Angelina Jolie. But thanks!

As far as the carrot cake...let''s see.

Imagine George Clooney in pastry form. Put some whipped cream and white chocolate shavings on him. And take a nibble. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Of course that only works if you are a big ol'' George Clooney fan.
 
I do need to add to my previous post that this was a really wonderful time. I am pretty dorky in new situations like that, but everyone was so friendly that the event was quite comfortable, nay, awesomely enjoyable.

I got to gaze into Catmom's ring!!!!!!!!!
