To answer a few questions:

I ordered a YG twist band from Etsy because of all the bands I tried on the twist one looked the best for some reason. I didn't buy the one in the pictures because it had three tiny bezeled diamonds (which was very pretty BTW) and my OCD made me keep trying to line the diamonds up on either side of big diamond. Anyway, every time I looked down I had to move the band again...that would have driven me crazy! I also think I will get a tiny eternity band to stack with it.

omg hon it's absolutely gorgeous!!!! what don't you like about it? pattern? color? it looks absolutely stunning on your hand and the metal split shank turned out so well. I would also love to know if you ended up with any of those stackers because they look lush next to your ring!

I can't quite put my finger on what I don't love about the stone...honestly, I love it more in pictures. It just doesn't do it for me for some reason...it just isn't the fireball I want...not sure if it's the larger table, faceting or what. I feel like I will know when I see "the" stone. I love the M color although I preferred it unmounted...so I may need to go up in color in order to love it in the YG.

Gem - you are so funny...I would call them "hills" not "mountains".

Val, I wondered what happened with your project. Gorgeous! Really impressed with how the custom setting turned out. I agree that you need at least two stackers to balance out that big honking diamond. Temporary? Look forward to seeing the "right" one. It will really have to be something to outdo this one.
