BrightSpot,

You look radiant! Your husband was very sweet to keep the suit on. You''re giving me a lot to live up to for our beach wedding pictures (12 days!) I love the barefoot shots btw. Congratulations!

Gorgeous! Y''all need to be in a wedding magazine...they need a The Knot: Destination Weddings. You can be on the cover!

You guys are too sweet!

It was definitely a joyful day for us. I couldn''t believe that I teared up when I started walking down the aisle. It was so beautiful to be able to hear the waves & feel the sand & ocean breezes as we got married. I loved how simple it all was. We had just the things that mattered--a beautiful locale, our loved ones, rhythm, music & my man--who could ask for anything more?

I was kind of surprised at how our wedding dinner really felt like a traditional reception. (I spent most of the time talking to guests & on the dance floor & very little time eating my dinner!) It was really nice not to have to worry about all of the little details like table arrangements, place cards, etc, though.

LOL, Tybee--I''m sure your FI said, "Who is Brightspot?" Thanks for thinking of me. You''re going to just love your beach wedding! I can''t wait to hear all about it. Are you wearing a veil?

I think it was actually good that it rained before our ceremony. The photos weren''t as brightly colored as they would''ve been otherwise (normally the sky & sea are a brilliant blue), but we were much more comfortable in our attire in the cooler weather post-thunderstorm.

Oh, and Scintillating, thanks for your sunscreen recommendations. I loved that Neutrogena dry touch stuff. Another great sunscreen I found (for the body, not face) was Coppertone''s continuous spray sunscreen. It was super easy to apply & not greasy or smelly at all.

FG, hee hee--I actually attached the pendant of the palm tree one to my garter. I wound up giving the starfish to the wedding coordinator when we left. She saw so sweet. As soon as I got home I ordered 4 more from a different vendor--one for me & the others for mother''s day. I''ll let you know how I like the new ones. They were cheaper than the first one I bought & came with 18" chains. Did you buy them for yourself?

Hey blueroses! It''s great to see you around these parts again! How''s everything going for you? LOL about the octagonal halo club!

SDL, yeah, the whole thing kind of feels like a dream now. Good thing I have pics so I can prove it actually happened.

Sarita, those little huts were everywhere on the resort. They were so pretty & really complimented the landscape. I can''t tell you how beautiful this place was--I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to go on a wonderful vacation at an all-inclusive in the Caribbean.

Julian, the lipstick I wore is Revlon''s Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor in "wine to five." It stays on really nicely.

rms, thanks for checking for my wedding photos---and for all of your help with my dress issues.

I wound up having problems with my bustle, but it didn''t really matter in the end.

Antiquabride, it was so funny--my FI was planning to keep his wedding shirt & pants on for our reception as I was keeping my dress on (most everyone else changed into shorts for the reception), but he agreed to bring the jacket along as I''d stored all of my stuff (powder, lipstick, etc) in his pockets. He called himself my "mobile storage device." LOL. I can''t wait to see your beach wedding pics--they''re going to be beautiful. You''re going to have such a wonderful time! I wish I could do it all again...but I''ll have to live vicariously through you.
2.gif
So post lots of pics for me!

Aww, thanks, appletini. I think the Knot online did a feautre on a wedding at our resort a few months back. I guess I missed my big shot... You must be getting really excited for your wedding! I can''t wait to hear all about it!

AmantdeChat, thank you! The wedding favors went over great--they arrived in perfect condition (my in-laws put them in their checked luggage) & the wedding coordinator put them on a table by the cake & champagne. Everyone seemed to like them. It was weird about the photos--the photographer only took one photograph per pose (75 total), which doesn''t seem like a lot to me for digital photography. I''m glad they turned out as well as they did. (Though a lot of them are overexposed.)

Any photoshop geniuses out there? Does anyone know how I could color correct my wedding photos? A lot of the shots in the garden are very bright. You can''t see any detail in my dress & I swear I''m not that pale...

DogderGurl, thanks. You look amazing in your wedding photos!! I can''t wait to see the pro pics!

KristyDarling, thanks so much. No, I''m not a model, but thank you for the compliment.

Sunkist, that''s funny you should ask that about my hubbie--he gets that a lot. Believe it or not, he''s actually Irish, but he can have a Mediterranean (or sometimes even Asian) look about him sometimes.

Thanks for letting me share with you all.

Congratulations!!! It looks like it was an amazing day! This makes me want a destination wedding!

Ohmigosh, you just look so beautiful and happy in your pics- both you and your husband (hee hee- don''t you just love that!) look so radiant, you''re just beaming. Congrats on a lovely wedding and blessings to you for a lovely life together!

Thanks, ladies.

Indecisive, I really loved our destination wedding. There were a few downsides--mainly that a lot of our friends couldn''t make it--but we got to spend a lot of time with the people who were with us, the setting was absolutely incredible, we didn''t have to spend a lot of time or money planning for the big day & our wedding on the beach was simple & very meaningful. It was a wonderful choice for us. If you''re really considering a DW, I''d be happy to help in any way I can.

Thanks, chickflick! Yup, I do love that! We were in a kitchen store over the weekend & overheard a man saying, "I''m just waiting for my wife." My husband (

) winked & whispered, "Me too" to me.

Brightspot, I don''t check this section as often as the others, so sorry I''m late adding to this thread. You are absolutely beautiful and your wedding looks like it was fabulous. I too love the barefoot beach pictures. congrats on being married.

I love love your pictures!! You guys are so photogenic and look soooo happy! Congrats!!!!

Oh Bright! I had missed this thread, but so glad it was bumped.

You look amazing!!! Congrats on finally getting hitched!

The pictures look so good!! And the shot with the ring, bouquet and dress? OMG! I could hardly breathe when I saw it. I''m so happy for you! Everything looks fabulous!

OH BS! What a great day!!!! I got worried when I read the narrative about the downpour rain after you just got gorgeous, so I''m glad the weather cleared up for you! Mother Nature must know when a PS girl needs the rain to stop, eh?

Anyways, you look totally gorgeous! I love the pics of you walking on the beach together. So glad to hear that you had a wonderful day!!

Many years of happiness to you and your **husband**!!!!

Thank you so much, dear friends!

It''s been such fun sharing our wedding planning & experiences with each other!

Thanks, Houmedgal. Yeah, the location was absolutely fantastic! I miss Jamaica so much...

caligal, Rascal, mrssalvo & milly--thanks so much for your sweet comments. It''s so nice to hear from you guys & I appreciate all of your advice along the way! :)

Milly, my husband actually took that photo (ring, bouquet & dress) at my request. He knew I had to have a good ring shot for my PS girls.
35.gif

ginger, selflove & sosst7, thanks for the compliments & for sharing your beautiful wedding photos, you gorgeous girls!
36.gif

selflove, I was totally stressed when I came out of my salon appointment to a downpour. But I had to laugh as I was drinking at the bar. I guess if it was going to rain, it was a good thing I was wearing my bathing suit! No problem, mon.
10.gif
Everyone at the resort was so sweet & took good care of me. I guess there will always be last-minute emergencies (rain, flowers, etc.) & they''ll somehow be resolved in time. Nothing else really matters when you''re walking down the aisle to marry the man you love.
5.gif
I can''t wait to see more pics of your wedding!

Brightspot, sorry I am late on this, but I wanted to say I love your photos. After seeing all your wedding planning, it is so fun to see the final results. You are stunning and you both look so happy. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
