Mastercut Gems Spring Cleaning Sale

I was as well... it’s a beautiful stone. “Denim blue” is the color I believe Dana used to describe it. The stone I had to exchange was also a fantastic color. It was the most intense and vibrant blue I had seen before. I was kinda sad to send it back and was trying hard to see how I could possibly justify keeping it. lol
I have a feeling that the one you had to exchange is still up on his website. Arrrgggh now should I invest in a tiny gem just so I can have a reference point for the colour I want for my engagement ring... o_O

Yes! I see it’s listed again in their site. I’m probably the wrong person to answer because I would encourage you to get it - if anything to stop tempting me from calling it back.

Just an FYI, Dana is having another sale, starting today and lasting "almost two weeks."

Damn im tempted. A lot of gems from their earlier round of sale are up on loupetroop! I think they are better than this batch, check them out :) I’m thinking of some of those spinels... :mrgreen2:

Oh boy... so dangerous! I see the sapphire I had sent back is still there. I haven’t been able to get it out of my mind and it’s the most gorgeous intense blue. Decisions, decisions...

I put a bunch of gems in my cart, then whittled it down. "Don't need. Already have five of those. Have too many pinks. Do I really want an included stone? Too small. Don't forget you have no money..."

It's hard because my experience has been that the pictures don't reflect how pretty the gems really are, and that makes me even more tempted. :Up_to_something2:

Haha I did something similar with loading the cart then paring down! I made 4 purchases! :geek2: two I have been eyeballing for a few months. The other two I found on the last sale but didn't make the purchase then. I was also impressed with how beautiful the gems were when I received them as the photography didn't show them to be quite so lovely.

I've loaded up my cart at Mastercut Gems several times, but got overwhelmed with the choices. I couldn't decide what I really wanted and I didn't want to buy/spend too much.

Then I saw that Kosnar Gem Co has a 25% off flash sale going on today. I just bought this pretty 7mm tourmaline. I've had my eye on it for a while because I LOVE the color.

If I hadn't already bought something from Mastercut, I would definitely shop at Kosnar. Thanks @natasha-cupcake for mentioning this, I have a new bookmark for the next time I'm splurging. :kiss2:

These are my purchases from their current sale:
Chrysoberyl pear, “clean, little sleepy” 1.41ct, 8x6mm.
Peridot, 2.96ct, 9mm.
Bicolor tourmaline, 3.74ct, 11x7.3.
Zircon, low heat, little sleepy, 2.24ct, 7.4mm.

I purchased a 1.56 pink - lavender Sri Lanka sapphire BUT the site crashed after I paid (confirmed via email all is well on their end) which means no picture until I get the stone in the post.

My hope is to set it with a loose asscher I have in something like this...mine would be flipped, colored pear and white square, 18 CT YG with a Florentine finish.

My sapphire arrived and it is a beauty. Will be heading to my customer jeweler Friday to start the ring design!

You can find the item page using “mastercutgems [item number]” on google search. I did that several times when I lost pictures. :))

Your new stone is such a pretty color and I love the ring design you have planned. A pear and an asscher together will be gorgeous. I can’t wait to see the finished piece!

Bought a 1.8ct pink spinel, my first spinel! I'm very impressed because for a long time I've been looking for a pink sapphire for a personal project and viewed a few in person, and they were just very poorly cut for the prices.

I think this is the beginning of a spinel love affair!
