Mastercut Gems Spring Cleaning Sale

Looks like the garnet has sold, yes. Too bad, I loved that one.
Thanks for weighing in on this. This gives me some confidence!

Hi Heidi! So did you get anything? I really liked the peridot but was called away before I could tell you. I have never liked the color of lime green on my monitor and so thought I didn't like them. Then I saw a nice one IRL and was blown away.

If you did get something then we need pics!!

I should have known opening this thread would be dangerous... there are such beautiful stones on here! Let’s just say that I went a lil crazy myself and a package should be arriving tomorrow. :shifty:

Not yet. I'm Travelling and just want to make me sure I don't find something I love more first while away. If not, I'm hoping to snag that peridot. Promise to post Pics!

Well, I received another couple beauties the other day. OMG! Such incredible gems! I am so pleased with Dana & Rachelle!
This is a two-tone pink and orange tourmaline:

And a green tourmaline:

I love that they send them wrapped in cotton and paper. I always dread opening the little plastic gem boxes because I'm clumsy and I've had gems fly!

Gorgeous! I love the green especially, have one myself like that. The step cut glow is so unique! Do share what you are planning to do with it

You guys are so funny, thinking I have plans for them! I am a buy first, plan later kinda gal. I find buying much less stressful. I was looking at them again today, and my immediate reaction was, "Oooh! How pretty!" :kiss2:

I don’t always have plans for my gems either. It drives my husband crazy. He thinks I should buy a gem and get it set immediately. That’s only happened once lol! Enjoy staring at your gems!

Haha oh man I totally know what you mean! Same here. I think he’s getting used to it now but it’s not easy for him to figure out what makes me buy so many.

My husband is starting to get used to it. He doesn’t understand it though.

Well, I am done with the sale shopping, finally! Here are the final two, a sparkly Namya spinel and a peridot (my first). I don't remember ordering the peridot, but it's pretty!

Don’t let anyone rush you on setting them. That will take the fun out of collecting. Enjoy your lovelies!!

You did so good! Your choices are beautiful .

Finally getting a chance to share what I bought since I needed to make an exchange on one stone... I’m so excited over the gems!

First, a 6.08ct topaz for my daughter (it’s her birthstone :kiss2:)

Next, a .69tcw pair of rhodolite garnets

And finally, a .79ct Montana sapphire. Love, love this stone! I had originally chosen a .77ct stone that was the most scrumptious intense blue, but sadly, the dimensions were just a bit off for the setting I have. Nonetheless, I equally thrilled with this new stone.

Dana and Rachelle are so fantastic to work with. This was my first purchase from them and I needed to make a return and exchange. They made the process so easy. I’ll definitely be back for more. =)2

Beautiful! Wasn't that sale fun?!?!

Oh @MrsKMB, what have you done, I am now trawling through Dana's pages for another bling bling... aaaah! Mmmm shiny spinel...

You made some lovely purchases! That is a cool topaz! Are you going to use the rhodolites for side stones or earrings? The color of your sapphire is so pretty.

Beautiful! Wasn't that sale fun?!?!

The sale was fantastic - and dangerous! I still have a few items in mind, but am trying to show some restraint. We’ll see how that goes.

Thanks @chatoyancy! My daughter plans to make a bezel pendant with the topaz. I’m having DK make a simple pair of 4-prong earrings with the rhodolites. Hoping I can create a collection of similar style earrings in a variety of stones/colors.

The sapphire is going into an edwardian replica setting I have. The diamond I’m swapping it for is then going into the bale of a 7ct+ imperial topaz pendant in the works. It’s like musical settings. :lol-2:

You can give them to me, I shall provide them with a safe home down in the Southern Hemisphere :lol-2:

As for this one... could be too late... I'm trying to decide between a lighter grey-purple and an intense plummy purple, aaaaaaaaah!

It sounds like you have some fun plans! I love the idea of a collection of gemstone earrings. That looks like perfect setting for your sapphire. Your daughter will always treasure her birthstone ring. Pretty please post the imperial topaz pendant when it is done. I never get to see imperial topaz on here and it is one of my favorite stones.

Wow. I am speechless. I had no idea that Montana sapphires could look like this... the blue in the shaded photo is almost exactly how I'd like mine to behave in the shade, and that direct light colour is also almost bang on for what I'm searching for :cheeky:

I was as well... it’s a beautiful stone. “Denim blue” is the color I believe Dana used to describe it. The stone I had to exchange was also a fantastic color. It was the most intense and vibrant blue I had seen before. I was kinda sad to send it back and was trying hard to see how I could possibly justify keeping it. lol
