Well, take some time to ponder. Some people on PS sell a lot of their jewelry as they work toward upgrades. But it seems like they always intended to do that as opposed to some of us who buy but don’t intend to sell.
For me personally, jewelry is an anomaly. With other consumer goods, for every new thing I buy, I try to get rid of one old thing, Except jewelry. Like @nala I see it as art. Doesn’t take up as much space as a painting.
Definitely agree with @mrs-b that the things that weigh you down are the things you never really liked. Maybe try sell or donate any pieces you are not satisfied with, and don’t compromise in the future.
