#TBT Miffy - a 3ct+ stone to kick off my 30-something life

I like the way you think!!! First of all, welcome to your 30's (almost). My 30's were awesome and I would never trade them for my 20's.

Miffy is beautiful. She looks very symetrical for such an old cut and I think I can almost see the "arrows". Enjoy!

Thank you! When I saw Miffy for the first time after she was set in the ring, I was surprised to see that Miffy (GIA M) looks whiter than my e-Ring (GIA K). I think the bold facets enhance the light return. Old cut stones do look very crispy and clear.

Actually I am reluctant to the ageing upgrade plan now - if I want full finger coverage, I can just add two side stones (I'm thinking of pears as they spread better, and cheaper), and the ring will be HUGE. But I am really enjoying the solitaire look now.

Thanks Adorezy! I just went back to look at FrannyBee's thread and right away I thought of you (since you'd mentioned pear side stones). Then I saw your comments there and I had to come back here and say "yes, yes, yes". I think a similar combination will work perfectly with Miffy!!

Soooooo GORGEOUS!!!!! There's just something about a classic round shape (whatever technically it may be) that is stunning, and with that size, Miffy has quite a presence

I went to do some shopping wearing Miffy today. And took some pictures when Miffy looked really gorgeous at the station - don't know why, I always find that diamonds look amazing at train/over ground stations. Miffy took on colours from environment brilliantly, and the facets are so delightful
