ceremony time!

this is the officiant (my uncle who got ordained to do the honors).
i wrote the ceremony myself, and it was a blend of christina and jewish traditions and readys.
therefore, i didnt want luis (my uncle) reading out of the bible or the torah. he needed something else. so, i got a childrens'' book that i liked the size of from the thrift store ($1) and covered in this paper which was used on our invitations and throughout the wedding stationary, and pasted the ceremony text inside.

the chuppah holders.

two of my cousins and two of michael''s cousins held our chuppah throughout the ceremony.
to make the chuppah, we bought wood poles from home depot, painted them white and drilled a hole in each. i made the chuppah from two coordinating fabrics and ribbon to tie it onto the poles through the holes.

my turn.
i came down the stairs alone, and then met both of my parents at the bottom to be escorted down the aisle.

my parents.
you can see we did little bouquets for our moms rather than corsages.

Wow, I am glad I came back to take a second look. Honestly, this is one of the most beautiful weddings I''ve ever seen and it sounds like you made a lot of stuff yourself, which is so special. You looked gorgeous.
