Well, months have passed since my last post (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/pink-sapphire-clarity.35862/) and... I''M ENGAGED!!!

FH popped the question on 28 December and presented me with a gorgeous Georg Jensen Fusion ring. Wedding ring will be the yellow gold piece studded with diamonds to fit in the middle.

I am planning to wed my sweetie on 5th August this year.

Thanks to all those who helped me on my journey!

btw, we are getting married on the same day!

Wow, I absolutely love that ring! It''s just beautiful. I love unique pieces whether they are "engagement" rings or otherwise...that''s right up my alley! Congratulations!

Thank you all for your lovely comments! I absolutely adore my ring! It took me a while to get used to wearing it as it''s really heavy, or as FH puts it, one big chunk of metal!

For those that are curious, the Fusion is a series of pieces that fit together, kind of like a jigsaw puzzle. Lots of different variations but we have decided on a diamond studded yellow gold centre for me, and a plain white gold and yellow ring for FH:

Wow it is very cool (weren''t you thinking of going with a Tacori style or pink diamonds or am I thinking of someone else. If so what a change!) What will his ring look like? Congrats on your engagement!

Yes, I was thinking of a Tacori design originally and had finally settled on an Australian designed pink and white diamond ring. FH even bought me some white and pink diamond earrings to match the future ring!

Then FH''s brother broke up with his long term partner and had to start again. We helped him out financially which unfortunately came from my ring fund. So, we were faced with the choice of waiting for another 6-12 months before we got engaged or finding an alternative.

I either wanted a great big something (the pink and white diamond ring) or something completely different. And that''s how I ended up with the Fusion. The price for the three rings was approximately 1/3 of the price of our original choice which meant we could get engaged in December.

I''ve had some mixed reactions to my ring. Everyone SAYS they like it, but you can just see that some people really don''t "approve". I guess they think that you should have a solitaire/cluster etc style rather than a band. But that''s what I love about it - it''s DIFFERENT to everybody elses!

FH will have a Fusion ring with one yellow gold end piece and one white gold end piece... no diamonds for him!

It is cetainly different than your earlier wishes but good karma will be returned. It was very nice to help out your brother. You could always makes this a RHR and get your "dream ring" later. People are always going to have their own opinions and there is NO style EVERYONE likes. So don''t even worry about it. As long as you love it that is all that matters and I think it is VERY cool and a very sweet idea (I like the puzzle piece, love, two coming together, all those ideas!!)

I couldn''t agree more! What you did was awesome and I really LOVE those rings! I just love things that are unique like that, and just like Tacori stated, I like the idea of the two pieces coming together, very sweet. Congrats!

Thanks guys! I hadn''t even thought of that... It''s a reflection of the blending of our lives.

I absolutely adore it and enjoy the reactions I get from people

It''s a little loose at the moment. I expect it will fit more snugly when I get the third piece as it will take up the entire first joint of my finger! I could always get sizing beads put in if it''s still too loose. Unfortunately, they can''t be resized.

what a great ring!!! I love the "flowy-ness" congrats!!

Wow, that ring is so unique and original. I like it a lot. Congratulations on your engagement!
