Thanks all! I think it is safe to say that I won''t be purchasing any more tahitians strands for awhile! I really need to work on stringing my pondslimes. Half the battle is finding what I need to get started............

For a first timer (and if you''re only doing 1 strand) I recommend the thread that comes on a card with the needle. Do you have a Michael''s near by? They sell two strands in a pack for $3 I suggest the thinner thread (the 2, not the 4)

thanks Swedish. I did go to a craft store to buy thread and would you believe they had everything BUT thread??!!!! So of all places, I went to Walmart and got some pretty nice thread in there craft area. It looks alot like the stringing thread I have seen online. I also bought a love chrystal clasp ...but I really like how refined the stringing looks with the french wire at the end so I need to find some of that...........
