This movie is a Q wet dream (nevermind Q and his daddy were child p* purveyors with 8chan) and this how they whipped up frenzy with their religious adherents against the 'other'. It's just in movie form.
The real trafficking experts aren't supporting it.

That's what Q does, they take a real problem and twist it full of fanciful lies to use the fear of people for nefarious ends. It actually made a safe haven for child predators who use the boards as cover and several of their Q save the children people are child predators and murders themselves.
Huge promoters of Q as well

No one who blindly watches this movie is going to change their opinion because they’re firmly set in their belief of “anything for the children!” and if you dare bring up anything about the motives behind this movie that was made to glorify some douche bro that fancies himself a savior (aka vanity piece), well then, you must be on the side of the traffickers themselves.

Sorry, I don’t enjoy watching movies made to stroke the egos of men who have done more to hurt the cause (as stated in the Rolling Stone piece I posted) than help it so others can ogle at them and the tragic train wreck that is human trafficking in a movie theater. It’s gross.

You just posted someone else's opinion and less than 30 secs of an interview which literally says nothing. Care to comment on the actual movie?

I wonder what real reasons can someone have against this movie which actually sheds some light over this horrible horrible issue that exists.

I haven't seen the movie, so I can't comment on it. I was responding to the question of why folks (myself included) don't like the main actor. I personally don't want to support him given what I've learned.

So a movie that puts the spotlight on something that vile is not supported by "the real experts".
Muahahhahahahahahaha

It really triggers the "experts", that's clear!

What are you talking about?

What are you talking about?

About this bunch of who try to smear the movie which sheds light on this vile thing that is happening to real people.

No one is forcing you to watch anything but when you go outta your way to smear this movie so hard that tells something about you, and it ain't pretty.

Who are "this bunch"? Child trafficking experts have said that the movie isn't accurate or particularly helpful to victims of this horrendous crime (which, by the way, no one is denying. Sex trafficking is real and awful). Tim Ballard apparently has a history of making claims he can't prove, and of connecting his organization to rescue missions they had zero part in.

Given the pretty vile things that Tim Ballard and the lead actor have said, I have zero desire to support or give them money. Child sex trafficking is horrible and I encourage everyone to support the organizations helping the victims. But seeing a sensationalized movie based on a man who literally has said that the "transgender movement" helps Child traffickers and starring a guy who thinks there are secret circles of elites drinking children's blood and harvesting adrenochrome isn't actually helping.

Yes, because it's full of lies, financed by a Medicare fraudster, and hinders the actual work of the experts trying to save children. Why is the increased danger of this clearly debunked movement to vulnerable children funny to you?
That's an odd response.

You didn't read the facts surrounding this, did you.

Snip:
The scale and efficacy of those operations has repeatedly been called into question by media, trafficking experts, and law enforcement. In 2020, a Utah prosecutor opened an investigation into whether the group had misled donors about the scope of its operations. The prosecutor closed its investigation without filing charges in May.

The FBI, IRS, and Department of Homeland Security also opened investigations into Ballard and Operation Underground Railroad, Vice News reported in 2021, including into whether OUR volunteers had "engaged in sexual acts with human trafficking
victims" and whether OUR created demand for trafficking.

Oh look, these 'saviors' might actually be traffickers.

Pricescope's Ignore function works beautifully.

Just left the theater. Wow. Excellent movie. (It is a movie. I do not make any claims about knowing what is the true fact and how much was adjusted to be entertaining or gripping.) The subject is difficult and it is very well handled. They don't directly show any of the actual abuses but the looks on faces and conversations with doctors make it very clear. Showing more would have been too much. We are Jewish and did not feel any antisemitism coming through the movie. I will say that the credits and additional message were not shown so I can't comment on that.

Anyway, it was worth watching and I hope that it calls attention to a subject that is too often not talked about. (As a side thought, I keep remembering my amazing nail technician talking about the class she took in recognizing trafficking victims. She was surprised and sad to learn how many of the women working in nail salons are not there by choice.)

This movie doesn’t ‘shed light’ on anything. “Taken” already exists. It’s not the first movie about child trafficking. It’s a fictionalized story from a guy who was somewhat involved in a situation somewhat similar. Who also believes Hilary Clinton eats babies after torturing them…

Yeah, sounds legit…

Thanks for the review. I’ve been seeing a lot of content related to trafficking on socials the past several years. “see something, say something” has been a mantra that’s so familiar I don’t even remember when or where I first heard it.

Idk if anyone remembers Jared from Subway, but the Subway he frequented was in my current city. I’ve followed his case since he was finally busted and been aware of the trafficking problem well before then. Just watched the latest doc about it on Prime, so perhaps I’m saturated with CT content. I still think this SoF movie is gratuitous and won’t be cluttering my brain by viewing it in a theater.

Folks stop the attacks and personal insults. I’ve deleted so many posts on this thread and am closing it since folks can’t behave like adults here. Please consider yourselves all warned.
