Ooooh Alli, you look so wonderful. The dress came out great and looks perfect on you!! I have to say it again...man I love those shoes!!
LOL about the arm lift. I told DH right before we walked in "don't lift my arm all the way up"...he did anyway haha
I'm so glad to hear you got a replacement ring in time, can't wait to see it
That photog situation is crazy! What are the chances? I actually looked at your photog for my wedding, I can't imagine having that kind of switcharoo. But they found you a good primary replacement and I'm sure the pictures will be gorgeous!
Huge Congrats!
First - you looked beautiful - loved your dress and your hair!!
that is such a bummer about the photog! not sure if you remember, but my friend had used them in 2007 (i had replied on your thread about them), and I was really looking forward to seeing your pics from them as I think their work is amazing! Glad you got at least a good replacement primary photog. I think I may have personally been a little freaked if I got that call on the morning of the wedding, but it seems you really handled it in stride.
Alli, thanks for sharing your lovely photos! You looked great in your gorgeous dress. I''m so glad you enjoyed your Italian honeymoon--we went to Italy, too, and it was the most wonderful trip ever. Congratulations on your marriage!
kama_s: thank you so much!! I ended up actually going with a different necklace than I showed all of you--I''ll try and attach a picture of it after this post...it''s much more antique-y so I think it sort of went better with the whole style (the antique-y earrings, the antique-y brooch, etc.)...and it was very small so I don''t think it detracted from the neckline like I was afraid the pearls would. I would have probably gone with the pearl pendant like a lot of the ladies here recommended, except that it was YG and the rest of the gold I was wearing was white (and the brooch, which was fake, but silvery in color), so I didn''t think it went as well. Thanks for remembering
PilsnPinkysMom: haha, I really didn''t have a choice in terms of being a trooper! heheh...plus, the photographers I booked were so sweet and so patient with me, and the replacement primary photographer was SO incredibly nice and professional, I really couldn''t let it get to me. Plus, it was my wedding day! I couldn''t let one vendor debacle ruin what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life!
Ohhhh, and I didn''t realize that you ordered the same BM dresses!!! That is so fun! I really LOVED them. I thought the girls looked so pretty, and they seemed very comfortable. I was not happy with the customer service I got from Priscilla of Boston (they screwed up almost everything they could have during the process), but the girls got discounts as a result, so I guess it worked out. I loooooved the color! What are you having the men wear?
FrekeChild: Thank you sooo much--I can''t wait to see the pro pics either! I will be trying to take some photos of my new rings as soon as I can--and I promise I''ll have a nice long post about that. I was so lucky to meet Mark T.--all because of PS! I am also SO glad you haven''t worn your ring that is too big on you--you have SUCH beautiful stones (I''m not sure which e-ring you''re talking about--don''t you have several? They are allllll so different and so special and lovely!), and I would hate for you to lose something so special to you. I can''t wait to see your wedding details--isn''t it coming up soon in LV? I can''t wait to see that AWEsome silver gown!
joelly: Thank you so much
I was very happy with those little details!
MagsyMay: Thank you! Aren''t they fun?! My friends and I kept saying I was going to put snacks in there, lol! I ended up just putting my handkerchief in there (the stitching was my "something blue")...
shertz1981: Thank you
princessplease: It was such a relief, with the ring--thank you!
marlie: haha, your SN is the same name as the photographers'' new daughter! LOL! I won''t hold it against you
thank you so much!
MissGotRocks: Thank you for thinking of me! I promise I''ll get the ring pics up as soon as I can
luvbug: Your wedding photos are some of my favorites I''ve ever seen--so thank you so much for the sweet comment!
Danielle: Their work is really beautiful, and I was very happy with the engagement photos they took for me...it is a shame, but I am hopeful about this other primary photographer! I was definitely bummed when I got the phone call that morning, but I just laughed about it, and we moved on! What are you gonna do? Can''t let it ruin the big day, y''know?
pocahontas: Thank you! The BM dresses were so pretty in person--I loved the little details, like the curved v neckline, and the pleats on the waistline. They were made so much nicer than so many of the other dresses the girls had tried on...plus, I think they were all comfortable, which was important to me!
emeraldlover1: I did--I was looking forward to it too, trust me! Haha...DW was really awesome to work with--and you''ll see what the results are. I am hopeful...he was really fun and funny and VERY professional, so if anyone could replace the other photographer, I am hoping it was him! Thanks so much
You have amazing taste, and your wedding was spectacular--so your opinion means a lot to me!
kittybean: Thank you so much! That''s so cool that you went too--where did you go? We went to Rome, Sorrento (day trips to Pompei and a hike down the Amalfi coast), Florence and Venice...it was INCREDIBLE! I''m so happy you had fun too!!
Here''s the pendant I ended up wearing...it was one of the first anniversary gifts my dad gave to my mom a loooong time ago (which was also meaningful because my parents'' 42nd wedding anniversary was the day before our wedding!) Not a great photo, but my camera is pretty lousy--sorry!
There are the earrings I wore--they were handed down to me when my grandmother passed away about 12 years ago...I never had an occasion to wear them before!
