MSOP04’s Christopher Designs Halo finds a new home!

I had been a PS lurker for a couple of years but only on occasion and hadn’t actually joined the site. Then this past November my hubby and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary and I got the idea that in 5 years I would upgrade my ring because it could be a 10 year anniversary gift combined with a 30th birthday gift. So, I started looking on Pricescope to get ideas for what I would want. I kept seeing pictures of MSOP’s halo and I just absolutely loved it every time I saw it (this was before I knew it was for sale). I was supposed to just be getting ideas so when I saw that it was for sale I was like oh crap, what do I do?? I decided I couldn’t let such an incredible ring at such an incredible price go. So, that is how I got my upgrade 5 years early LOL. It is the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen and I just love it so much... It will being me joy everyday looking at it! I had @Rhino from Distinctive Gems rebuild/ make softened claw prongs and set my stone. He sent me pics last night and it looks incredible. The prongs are perfect. Jonathan and Vicki are amazing and I will be using them again in the near future! When I get the ring I’ll post hand shots!
Also want to give credit to MSOP04 for helping me so much and giving me advice on prongs etc. because she has an amazing eye for jewelry and I love her taste!

I got it yesterday and I’m so in love . I’m trying to decide whether to wear a band with it or just wear it alone. I have three bands, 2 diamond bands that are 2 mm thick and 3 mm thick and one plain white gold. Which one do you like better or do you like it best with it or do you like it alone? I feel a little self conscious about the size since my friends don’t have rings this big (one has one that’s close) but I’m sure I’ll get used to it once I wear it out a few times and I’ve always wanted more finger coverage!

Beautiful! And it's the perfect ring to wear alone, looks great on your hand. Maybe simple band for everyday, diamond band for date nights or special occasions (I like the thinner one better, but you can't really go wrong with either!)
The size actually looks really good on you, great finger coverage but not over the top. You'll get used to it!

I think it stands really well on its own, and you can certainly add the plain band on a daily basis. The other looks are dressed-up and really beautiful!

Right now I’m just enjoying all the views from all the angles and I don’t want to block my view! I do like the plain band for everyday wear but I feel that it is too thin for the ring and looks off? I’m thinking about returning it and buying a thicker one. This one is 1.8mm and I’m thinking about ordering a 2 or 2.2mm.
