REO Speedwagon
Little River Band
Bob Seager
Queen
Jan Hammer/Miami Vice themes
Thompson Twins
Fleetwood Mac?
Abba?
Robert Palmer? (was he more early 90's?)
Your best suggestions have already been mentioned...but do add REO and Queen tot the playlist at least!!!
EDITED: Oops, you asked for songs...eeks. I may have to come back to edit...who am I kidding? I didn't know the names of the songs then...knew the words, but the names not so much.
Eye of the Tiger, WE are the champions/Queen on that one!
Oh JOHN COUGAR!!!! You will find him now as John Cougar Mellencamp no Cougar...no now he is going to run for political office...so you need to call him SIR.
Ain't even done with the night-John Cougar that is about all I have in me so far!

For some reason I immediately started singing Dress You Up by Madonna
There are already some really great suggestions but might I add The Pointer Sisters, Men at Work, Wham (Careless Whisper swwoooooon), Paula Abdul, Who sings that song I always thought was Bruce Springsteen (On the Darkside), Centerfield by John Fogerty

But thought this might make a few giggle, when I read ''Dress YOU UP'' by Madonna...From StarPrincess, I finished the line this way...
''Dress You UP before You GO GO'' another example of why I should just spectate in this thread!

LOL, CasaBlanca, just to make you feel better, the song "Invisible Touch" says "She seems to have an invisible touch, yeah..." Well, DH and I were at the grocery store one night, and this song came on over the speakers. I never realized how OFF my version was until I saw the look of sympathy/horror on my husband''s face. Apparently, "She seems to have a busy bottom top shelf" doesn''t really make a lot of sense!I need a helmet!![]()
Thank you all for so many wonderful suggestions! My list has certainly evolved!

I am rolling on the floor laughing out loud so much so I couldn''t leave it at abbreviations! SHE SEEMS TO HAVE A BUSY BOTTOM TOP SHELF! I can''t see the screen!
I can''t tell you how many times I get that same look! WHAT??? What did I do. I swear that is right! That is the way I have sung it for years! The eye roll thing...next he says, "it is just not safe to take you out. People with straight jackets are watching!"
Thanks Doodle!

You guys are awesome! My biggest problem with this is not coming up with stuff so much as narrowing it down (like I said in my OP, I have a LOOOONG list, haha!), so I figure if certain songs are the first ones to come to mind for people, and even more so if multiple people think of that song, then that one just HAS to be on the list, you know? It''s funny to me how different songs come to mind based on where you''re from, too. I''m a Georgia girl and my husband grew up in NYC; I immediately thought of the pop and rock songs first while he immediately thought of the new wave stuff (the vast majority of the people I grew up with have probably never even heard of New Order; my husband followed them on their entire last tour!). Feel free to keep ''em coming--I welcome suggestions from all genres!
