That is so beautiful!!!! I love it.

Hi there! I got the Verragio solitaire setting at Mervis Diamond Importers - they are in the Washington, DC area. It''s 3 mm width. I actually usually prefer a slimmer band (I wanted 2 mm) but I loved the curvy lines of the Verragio so much that I went with the thinker band. SInce my wedding band is also 3 mm, I think they look good together.

Gorgeous!

Wow, what a gorgeous asscher! And I love the way your e-ring looks with your band--perfect!

Wow what a gorgeous ring!!!! LOVE IT!

Beautiful set!! I LOVE how the ER and WB complement each other so well, but w/o being the same. Nice job. Asschers are just so lovely and yours is gorgeous!!

Hi there! Here are a few more pics of my rings, and of the engagement ring on its own. Now that I saw Kate Beckinsale''s ring, though, I want a micropave setting & band - I think that would make the asscher "pop" more. The grass is always greener on the other side ...

pretty!
where did you get your asscher from?

Hi belle,

I got it at Mervis Diamond Importers - they have a few locations in the Washington, DC area. The staff there is great, and you get a "high-end" experience and service there, but the prices are very competitive.

~~Thanks for the new pics...I am in love with your ring!!!!

Sorry I missed this thread when it was first posted. Your ring is very lovely. What a wonderful choice you made. Love the 1st photo plus the photos in the new thread you started. The first photo in this thread really shows off the cut though.

Your ring is to die for.... Congrats...

I have a question, I''m getting a very similar setting to yours from Verragio for my heart diamond. Do find the ring sits extremely high? I like rings that are set high, but since our stones are on the larger side (and therefor quite deep) is yours set REALLy high. HOw do you like it, is it comfortable?

Also, were you able to buy a stock setting, or did they have to custom the entire ring around your stone?

I think your whole wedding set is esquisite. One of my favorites

Thanks

Hi Trishy,

I find that my Veraggio setting isn''t very high at all, no more than most solitaires. The setting actually had to be sent back to Veraggio from the jeweler when we got the ring to be reset, because even though it''s a 2.2 carat asscher, it''s about the same size as a 1.5 carat round, and the setting I picked out was a little small for the stone. but the jewelers at Veraagio reset it for free (it was a little tight before), and it now sits in the setting perfectly.

I have seen that some of the Veraggio settings are a bit high, but I''ve seen that mostly on the 3-stone settings. I''ve attached a link to a vendor that has my same setting, but with a round stone - this pic gives a good side view. Good luck!

Oh, so beautiful. You are one very lucky girl with a gorgeous asscher. So blue and icy, and perfect.

oooh, i''m about to get an asscher e-ring too (tho not nearly as big) and that''s exactly how i want it - with a tapered solitaire band and the channel set w-ring. thanks for posting the pics so i know what it''ll look like!!

still up in the air about the prongs tho...

Hi dsy,

We were in a huge rush when we picked out my setting, and even though I love the tapered cathedral style, I probably would have gotten double-claw style prongs if I had seen that option. I''ve thought about changing the setting, but I''ve only had it for about a year, so I may get the head replaced eventually, but I haven''t gotten around to it yet. I really like the look of the single or double-claw instead of the standard prong. I''ve even seen some asschers with - I''m not sure what you call it - the "V style" prong used on princess stones, and that gives it a more square look - I really like that too.

Be sure to post pics - I can''t wait to see your ring! :)
