Love that it’s in yellow gold and that it’s a brooch. Would look great in a dreamy scarf too.

I used to think that reasonably nice jadeite bangles in my size were nigh impossible. Thanks to livestream, it's certainly not the case, though they are still not that common. I finally got sized correctly at my jewellers, borrowing their stock, calipers and plastic baggy to slip them through.

A few I've gotten from livestream. 1 waiting for me at home, 2 taken by my friend as I've not collected them and 1 just purchased

Thank you! The 3rd is a bluish lavender with a surprise streak of green vein. It looks more intense in the shade/dark.

The 4th is something I'm really curious about. It was purchased in its rough form so no telling how the end product would turn out. It's also a curious mix of pinkish lavender and black (what they call black chicken) which I've not seen IRL! The grain is admittedly coarser than what I'd have preferred so I need to see the bangle to know how I feel about it.

Posted in Show Me Your Emeralds but I like keeping them in 1 thread for my easy reference

Indoor daylight photos of my first emerald sourced for me by a fellow PSer! 2.04ct Columbian, minor oil,7.27x7.09x5.78mm square step cut.
Pair of side shield cut diamonds are 0.8ct, melee of 0.02 and 0.01s are 0.58. So total of 1.38ct diamonds. 18k white gold with the prongs and lotus inspired basket in yellow gold. This was also my first stab at designing a ring from scratch and I wanted a different halo from the usual classics.

Got tired of pendants, so I did this rope bracelet with an icy lotus leaf with lotus flower carving. It has green and yellow at one end. Setting in 18k white gold.

Looks fabulous! I know you have been wanting a bangle for SUCH a long time. Good things come to those who stick it out without settling.
Honestly, I mostly wear 2 bangles everyday without fail. Once you get something that you feel comfy wearing, then it’s a new jewelry direction in subtle ways.

Hehehe yes indeed! I did buy more than those posted but won't see the rest till end Sep.

I think I've reached a point of too much. Not to come across as a braggart or to be boastful. But I feel somewhat cluttered when I see how much I have that's not worn enough on a regular basis which isn't possible owing to the amount. My tastes have also changed along the way.

Moving forward I will just focus on a handful of special or better items each year or so.

Ya, I can imagine feeling cluttered by the sheer number of pieces! You got a lovely collection of jade. I like your idea of focusing on a handful of pieces and/or upgrading from here on out. For me, doing this also gives more room for taste to change. I’ve been really strict with myself the past year about limiting more jewelry purchases and trying to wear things as much as possible. It’s been interesting because I no longer want the same things, feel more bonded with some pieces, less so with others. I’m actually surprised by new gem interests.
