LGK, your poor Geo! It sounds like someone was out to get you for sure! That''s terrible!

Delster, that''s so funny that there''s a saying about green cars! "Green for grief"-I''ll remember that when I finally buy a new car!

Green has been considered unlucky for vehicles for decades:

I believe there may be one now but that is why for a very long time you never saw a green car in a nascar race.

I was right!

Thanks for the link, storm! I have to forward this to my dad! I''m pretty sure he thinks I drive around with my eyes closed because he can''t believe my car has been hit so many times while parked!

Haha, my Geo was green too! Never heard that saying before, but very interesting superstition.

That does it. I''m not even that superstitious but I am seriously never going to get a green car again!

My GREEN Corolla has had 4 hoods and 2 rear side panels.... none of the accidents have been my fault.... that car is cursed!

P.S.... It looks terrible at this point but at least it still runs great (no problems there) and I''m enjoying the great gas mileage.

Hmmmm. My FOREST GREEN Land Rover was rear-ended, broke down countless times despite being brand new & once left my DH & I stranded about 1000 miles from home at Xmas with our dog & a carload of gifts. It had to be trailer-tractored back to us weeks later. We traded it in on a LIGHT GREEN Toyota RAV4 that hasn''t had *any* problems in the last 2 yrs. (KNOCK WOOD) My old car was a LIGHT GREEN Honda bought used & was a mixed bag of usual problems -- not the out of the blue LEMON CURSE of the Land Rover. Funny, I was sure it was a "Land Rover" problem but now I''m ?????

And, my husband''s many-cars-ago green Saturn was the worst lemon I''ve ever seen; it made my first car, an ''87 Hyundai that made no less than 8 individual weird noises, look like a paragon of reliability. Same with a friend''s matching green Saturn that she bought even after we told her the horrorshow ours was.

I''m thinking I''m with you and no more greenies.

Okay, so maybe it''s only FOREST green cars that are bad luck? The other car was forest green as well...ca-razy!

Was it forest green? Or just light green?

Yikes...another story of a bad green car! I actually also had a forest green Saturn that had problems...I forget what they were, though...it was when I was in high school so my dad was in charge of all my car stuff!

It''s a dark hunter green (so I guess it best fits the "forest" category).

My poor car... it doesn''t even have a Toyota symbol on the front bumper anymore

It''s had such a rough life but it''s been a good car in a lot of ways... I like to think of how much my life has changed in the 7 YEARS since I bought it. I bought it right out of grad school and it was perfect for me back then. Now my husband drives it to work and back because of the gas mileage (and I get to drive his Jeep Grand Cherokee since I only have to drive 7 miles round trip a day). So I guess in some ways the car has been cursed but in other ways it''s been wonderful.

Hahaha...awww-your poor Corolla! Those are great cars-my sister has an ''06 or ''07 and she loves it. Don''t worry-hers is grey!
