my cushion engagement ering in its new setting

Thank you all once again for the helpful advice regarding my original setting and what to do!!! (see: original thread)

Although I think the setting is beautiful, it just wasn''t for me. So I present to you my flat slim band. I decided to go with the single prongs instead of the double prongs - sorry newsboysgrl but my fiance''s preference of the single prongs and its that day availability where the deciding factors.

I LOOOVE it!! I was so surprised when I saw a thread with this title, then I realized YOU had started the topic and I was like "WOW! That was quick!!" SOOO glad you did this!! I know you'll be 100000x happier and you won't have regrets!! The real question is: How do YOU feel about it!?!?!

Also, those don't look like CLAW prongs (I could be wrong?)... And, it still has a basket, but it looks like the basket sits a bit higher. Does that mean that a Wb will still be able to sit flush with it?! That's great that you got the best of both worlds, if it does!! Also, did you send it back to JA or did you do it locally or what?!

Thank you all for your compliments! Just by way of an update, it is back with the jewelers to have the diamond lowered. I felt it was too high in the prongs for me . At this point I'm starting to feel like an overly demanding/picky bride-to-be - which I really didn't want to be. I swear, after this, I shall happily look at the ring and love it as is!

Newsboysgrl - I'll put some fun outside snow pics up when I get it back. It is still a basket setting (I think that is what it is called) but it is higher up so most wbs can sit flush with it. There were a few in the store that I looked the looks of. I will have to see if it is high enough to allow for my dream of a eternity pave or the beverly k floral. I think it is a prong/claw setting, but in all honest I have no idea.
