Al your ring is beautiful!!!!!/idealbb/images/smilies/love.gif I was wondering what size your finger is? The diamond size looks perfect on your hand.

Thanks, NY! My finger is a 6.5.......I had them make the w/band in 6 5/8 to provide a little "give" when wearing both rings.

Just beautiful. Enjoy wearing them both. They absolutely compliment each other and look amazing on your finger.

Oh My God Alj!!!!!!!!! I had seen the work-in-progress shots, so I was expecting something beautiful, but not this much!!!!!!!!

It's just perfect: sophisticate yet clean, smooth, not high not catchy. Congrats girl, you made a wise & beautiful choice!

Al,

Congrats! Saw some prelim pics before in another thread, all of these new shots look great.

It's great to see that you were able to get something so personal and so meaningful to you turn out so well. I love to hear these custom stories turn out like this.

Alj, let the ooohing and ahhhing begin. What a beautiful set of rings. The diamonds are absolutely superb and the settings are so lovely. I too am a fan of yellow gold, but I also like the two-tone look with the platinum. (really my fave) Congratulations on being able to see your vision come to fruition with such exceptional results. Really great work by Whiteflash. Congrats and best wishes to you and Rich.

Quick question (probably a dumb one, but here goes anyway) what is the gallery? Does having it closed mean it's difficult to clean? (okay, I know that's two) I, too, am a clean fanatic so I was curious if it hampers your ability to clean the band at all? (yes, three) I'll stop now. Thank you for sharing your beautiful rings with all of us here.

Shaw, an open gallery is where the sides/pavilion of the stone aren't covered by metal. In the buttercup (open) setting, I can easily get in underneath the diamonds with a small toothbrush to clean them.

By contrast, in the wedding ring, you'll notice from the profile that the gallery is closed....I cannot see to the undersides of the stones. That was done intentionally as these areas are so small that they are hard to clean, so closing it up means junk cannot get in there in the first place.

Thanks again, all....really enjoying the results!

Absolutely gorgeous!

Boy, your time is coming up quick!

One thing - by the nature of attrition your rings will mold together the more you wear them over time. All of mine have. The bands show no wear. The prongs get indented. Doesn't hurt the integrity.

Funny, I can always tell the newly weds.

Congrats, Aljdewey! Your rings are beautiful together! I know what it feels like to have in your mind what you want and search for months for it, and I also know it's an awesome feeling to finally have what you've always wanted (including no gaps!)! I'm very happy that it has worked out for you!

Hey Al, PQ e-mailed me and "clued" me in about your post. I knew that we were making rings for you but I never got to see the final product. If I would have known.....I would have made a special trip over there. JOB WELL DONE !!! I admire your vision and your drive to get it done your way. Your rings are absolutely gorgeous !!!!! Can you say BLING BLANG ??? (Just like Researcher's ring) Sooooo many beautiful rings....so little time.

I too love gold. I am a gal who started wearing gold back in the 80's. I still have several pieces of gold. All kinds of stuff. My sister doesn't let me wear them though. She too thinks it's tacky. Oh well....I say wear what you want. It's all good.

CONGRATULATIONS sweetie !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wear them in good health and NO CHEATING !!!!!!

ALJ - I want to compliment you on your newly-designed ring...isn't it fun to have heart prongs, they're like a little secret and when you point them out to people, they sort of gush over them --
love.gif
...also, I wish you and your FI the wedding of your dreams and a very happy life together...did your engagement absolutely fly by? mine has, just 5 more weeks for this North Shore bride!!! HAVE FUN!!! kl

Al, thanks for your answer. I really appreciate your help. (Sometimes I feel so dumb) And again, I just love your rings.

Shay

Heart prongs - you're on the North Shore? Me too!
We're getting married in Beverly this Sunday! Holy cow.....where are you getting married?

Yes, I love the prongs - it's funny how many people are intrigued by them.

Yes, also, the engagement has flown by....can't believe it's really here. The last 7 months have just flown. Honestly, though, I'm ready for it to be here. I'm all "planned out"....ready to move onto something else.

ALJ - I used to be "antique diamond" but I lost my cookies somehow (!) and I just decided to become "heart prongs" since we didn't end up going w/ an antique diamond! I think we may have "talked" in the bride's area of PS before...you're getting married at Lynch Park right...and this weekend is going to be BEAUTIFUL!!! I live right down the street from there, so I hope you don't mind if I peek while I work on my tan!!! Our wedding is at the Ocean View on Aug. 15th ... Again, all my best to you and your almost-husband for a lifetime of happiness...kl

Just popping back in to say that one of my co-workers got a set SIMILAR to yours (but not nearly as awesome! Really!!!!) and I was telling her about your little heart prongs. But I probably shouldn't have, because I think it made her feel a little less than happy with hers then

and I felt soooooo bad.
