YOU HAVE A CAVI!!!!!
They are my favourite dogs and I am planning on getting a black and white one and naming it "Domino". Yours is so beautiful.
Sorry, I''m a total dog person.

Cavaliers are such a wonderful breed! The tricolors are just lovely, too. Yours will have a little bit of tan on it. Are you from the UK? Cavis seem to be much more prevalent across the pond. In an AKC breed show, we're lucky to have 30 show up. My friend in the UK tells me there are often >300 of the little sweethearts at the breed show level. Please let me know when you get Domino. I would love to see some pics

Unfortunately no, I'm South African. I haven't been able to find a breeder here yet, most people don't even know what a Cavalier is. The only breeder I could find refused to sell a puppy to me unless I signed a contract vowing to turn her into a showdog.

Surely a loving home is more important? I don't have any problem with shows, but I'm not really interested in letting my dogs participate.
Anyway, I continue searching hopefully.
I would love to see more pictures of yours!

I will go through some of my pictures and start a thread in the Hangout. It may take me a little time

I wonder if you could contact a breeder in the UK and see if you could get a referral to a breeder in your area. Cavalier breeders are an interesting group. I went through a strict interview process before I could even get an appointment to see the pups. My breeder had me sign a contract that I wouldn't show the dog. She knew that I didn't have any experience and that was fine with me! Do you have a cavalier rescue group in your area?

ETA: I think it's probably time to take this discussion to the Hangout

Thanks!! Seriously, I am so grateful this did have a happy ending. Before the insurance company gave me permission to work with my own jeweler , I was a tad nervous
