My fiance proposed to be on Christmas Eve 2012. He picked out a ring from a shop in our local mall and though it was beautiful, the inclusions worried me. After a terrible experience at the mall store we decided to return the (overpriced) ring and do some research to pick out the best diamond for our budget and a band that I'd love forever.
Long story short, I wouldn't have such a beautiful and amazing ring on my finger without Pricescope. I received so much help with finding both the diamond and my dream ring. I really appreciate the patience shown while answering my dozens of questions and calming all my worries! I was able to get what I wanted and stay within my $6k budget easily.
Diamond from James Allen:
1.0 carat round, 6.43x6.40mm
I colour
Medium blue fluorescence
SI1 clarity, eye clean
Very good cut, excellent polish, very good symmetry
Ring from IDJ:
Gabriel and Co victorian ring in platinum http://www.gabrielny.com/engaged/style/ER5651W44JJ
Size 5.25
It's very cloudy today and I can't seem to get my cheapie camera to cooperate. Most of the pictures turned out blurry. I will try to take better ones later...
Also I bought a cheap loupe online which included a UV light. I specifically wanted this to see the fluorescence in my diamond and it looks very cool! There's a few fluorescent diamonds in my band too.
This is medium blue fluorescence.
