I''m finally back from my trip to NYC with fitting pics! We "lost" our camera on the plane ride, only to be found on the last day of the trip in one of our travel bags

. So, all I have are phone pics.

The dress was too big all around, so I guess it was a mistake to order based on the sizing chart. I confidently ordered a size 12 based on the chart, since all of the previous dresses I''ve tried that were the perfect size for me were 12''s. I think I could have easily ordered a 10.

Also, I think I''m going to need a real corset, instead of spanx because even with the spanx I have a bit of a pooch

. Well, without further ado here is the dress!

Sideish view. You can kind of see the pooch in this pic...

Top view from the side with veil #1. I don't plan on using this veil after trying it with the dress, so I guess my nieces will get a new toy

ETA: The dress was falling off quite a bit during the fitting, and the seamstress assured me that once it was sewn up it would fit much tighter than when pinned. I hope she's right!

And last one, the back...

Aww thank you marchswallowbird! I probably see it more than anyone else would, but I would hate for it to show up on pics.

Very elegant!

You''ll be fine with the right undergarment.

Stunning! I love that dress!

I love your dress! Its gorgeous and you look gorgeous in it!

Thank you for the lovely comments everyone! I was scared that my mom and sister wouldn''t like it, but they loved it too -- so relieved!

I am wearing spanx underneath the dress, but I''m afraid I got it a size too big, which is may be why the pooch is showing. Any idea what other undergarments I could consider? I tried several corsets, but they didn''t really fit properly, or tight enough
32.gif
. The ideal thing to have IMO woudl be a lace up corset, but I haven''t been able to find one anywhere

I suppose I''ll try to go to Macy''s this weekend and see about a smaller size spanx.

P.S. Definitely be honest if you see something "funny" about the dress. I still have 2 fittings to go, so there''s still time to alter it, etc. if anything looks off.

No "pooch."

You look really beautiful. Just to add, your complexion is lovely! I noticed that right off the bat. You''re going to make a gorgeous bride...

Congrats!

beautiful! It looks great already and will look amazing with all of the alterations!

You are going to be gorgeous!!!

It looks fantastic on you!

Looks beautiful! And while I don''t see a pooch either, I''m just as self-conscious, so I can see where you''re coming from. I just posted this in another thread, but I have this convertible strapless bodysuit that I really like. I got it in black and white, and I''ve worn the black several times under other dresses (I''m saving the white for the wedding). The control panel on the front is pretty effective, and I like that it''s a bodysuit instead of just a corset or long line bra, so the panel goes all the way down to the lowest part of the belly. I actually have a corset-style dress so I don''t really need a shaping undergarment, but I bought it for the strapless bra aspect...the cups are nicely padded for the poorly endowed like myself, and they help fill out my dress. Anyway, a bodysuit like that might be something to consider...

Definitely not seeing a pooch, just a beautiful dress on a soon-to-be stunning bride

love this dress on you, and you absolutely do not have a pooch in the pic! i have the Marisa version of this dress, except i took the flower off and added a brooch. it''s such a stunning style.
