My hen night is tomorrow...

Hi girls! I''m back from the hen night and have pretty much lost my voice! I had the best time of my life-it was absolutely amazing!! I can''t even describe how much fun we had. I finished my exam at 11 in the morning yesterday (woohoo-they''re finished

), collected two of my friends and went to my parents house and my off we went with my mam. The hotel was about 90 minutes away from Dublin and when we got down there we had to do a quick change and then meet all the other girls in the restaurant for lunch. They had it all decorated and when we went upstairs, they all jumped out and had party poppers etc and I had to sit at the top of the table and put on my veil, feather boa and flashing garter. I looked a state! Lots of wine was had and we played a couple of games and for each question I got right about D, I got a pressie. Everyone brought a pressie for me which was so nice and totally unexpected and they ranged from a gorgeous Ralph Lauren Clutch bag to crotchless undies

! All my embarassing stories came out and I had to hoola hoop in the restaurant (long story behind that one).

We went back to the hotel and got changed for dinner as we had to meet at 7.30 for the murder mystery. There were about six of us having a glass of wine in my room and there was a knock on the door and presuming it was more friends, I skipped over (literally!)to answer it and there was the grim reaper at the door-I''ve never heard anything like the screams out of us. He actually chased us into the room-it was hilarious and after a few glasses of wine, really scary at the same time!! The murder mystery was brilliant-I had to get up and dance the haka and we had to do a conga line out of the suite through the hotel lobby. It was brilliant as everyone got involved and prior to the night, we had to email embarrassing stories of each other so it was so funny hearing them brought into the story line. There were 18 of us so everyone really got to know each other after it. Then we went to the bar and in typical Irish fashion, we had a sing song till 1am, then went to the nightclub, danced the night away, and went back to the residents bar for sing song number 2. We didn''t get to bed till 5 and had to get up at 9 for a spa treatment. Best night ever!
I''ll have to blur out peoples faces but I''ll be back with some photos!

I think that was in the first sing song though. Actually in the middle of the murder mystery, when we were talking about the dead husband, we all had to sing "down to the river to pray". I don''t think I''ve ever laughed so much in my life.
 
One more-this is at about 5 o clock in the day and we were all merry after lunch-I decided to practice my hoola hooping!

I wish I could have come along, your story reminded me of when I visited friends in England...we literally stayed out all night going from bar to bar....and there was even singing! (singing while you are out drinking to an American like myself seems strange - unless of course it is karaoke

Thank you! It''s funny you should say that as one of the girls that went is Canadian and she couldn''t believe that we were all sitting in the corner of the bar singing way. She said that she''s going to learn all of them for the wedding!

Thank you! I did have an absolute blast. Thought I''d sleep forever last night. I''ll post some more photos later when I put them on my laptop.

I would definitely recommend the hillgrove hotel for their murder mystery-staff were brilliant, food was fab, cheap spa treatments-there was nothing bad about the place.

Will get more photos up as soon as they''re sent to my FB account.
