Yeah. Just a man. I don''t hint. Goes right over his head. I''m blunt. Honey I want X. I sent him links to ultra sonics for my birthday as well as some pearl jewelry I would like. Told him flat out that he''s only allowed to spend up to X dollars on me-- cause he has gone overboard before. I get my own cake. Exactly what I want. Usually he surprises me with flowers, though. I like that.

I agree with buying for yourself and telling him that X is what he got you. To be fair, I don''t surprise him often either... I just ask him what he wants... of course he usually tells me he wants something that costs like 20 bucks because he hates me spending $$ on him-- but occasionally if he really wants something he''ll say something when I ask.
