I, too love the way the prongs came out. They start out sort of beefy, then graduate to a graceful point. They seem to be in perfect alignment with the four corners of the table facet. Wow! And the stone is just gorgeous! Love, love it! congrats and I will stay tuned!

I agree about the prongs too. Maybe it''s just the pics and the lighting, but your stone and the plat are so white, your prongs just melt into the diamond - you can''t really tell where the prongs end and the diamond begins! It''s just gorgeous!!

luvmysparklies: The stone was set by Michael. B. or one of his little elves... My jeweler recommended that the stone be sent with my "order" so that the "head" could be made utterly perfect! and I agree with you, they set it superbly!! Thanks for the sweet comments!

JCJD, you know what is funny is that when I first saw the ring it was set with a cz and you could really "see" the prongs (even though I thought they were beautiful) My jeweler said, wait until you get your diamond in there, he said the prongs will litterally melt into the stone.

When I saw the display piece, the ring was really white as well. I held it up to my husbands plat. ring and it was as though the ring was pure white! Since I haven''t seen the ring yet, I am not sure if the pics enhance the white or if it is that icy white.. but I sure will let you all know tomorrow!! 17 hours!!!!!!

I can''t believe I missed this from a couple of days back. I am nuts about Michael B settings (and am trying to make up my mind about the lace setting and now maybe yours?) Back to the jewelers I go tomorrow so I can try them all on again! Congratulations and enjoy it!! Can''t wait to see the hand pics!
 
Youngster: What really did it for me, as in a decision, was that my jeweler sent me both settings so that I could wear them around for 1 day....i put on the one-sided and LOVED it...until...I put on the three-sided... i switched back and forth for a few hours to see if there was *really* a difference....and there was... I was in looooove and that was it!!!! I wore it for the rest of the day and part of the next until I had to return it...

Thanks for the advice! Your jeweler sounds terrific. I don''t know if the one in my town that carries Michael B would let me do that as I''m not a regular customer of theirs but, hey, I''ll ask!! You never know!

What a gorgeous ring--I agree, I''ve never seen prongs like that before and the diamond DOES just melt in there! AMAZING!!
 
Thanks Blueroses!! I LOOOVE the prongs and I am very sensitive to "ugly prongage"! It took me forever to find a ring that didn''t have what I considered prong issues!! I am GOING NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!! with the anticipation.... Where should I open my package for the best effect????
 
I saw this post just as I was getting ready to go out of town Friday and I just now realized that I never posted on it. The ring looks stunning. I can''t wait to see the pictures of it on your hand. How will you be able to sleep tonight?!

IT''SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!!!!!!!!!!

It is PERFECT!! SOOOOOOO WHITE AND SOOOO SPARKLY!! It is just beautiful!!! I love to look at it in different lights, it has bright flashes of colored light outside and is sparkly white in my dingy gray apartment!!!! It is very dainty and thin, and perfect in every way. The prongs DO melt away in the diamond!!!

I am slammed today, so I haven''t been as obsessive about it as I would like....but I did get to the grocery store to check it out...was good, but Petsmart is WAAAY better LOL!!!

Now....you all are going to kill me, but I didn''t get a hold of my only friend in town who has a digital camera. Maybe when I get my appraisal done on Thursday I''ll be able to convince him to take a few hand shots and post them! LOL!

I can''t believe it is here.

I wrote a few sentences...but the bling is amazing... Even my husband Said "It''s so sparkly" LOL!!!
