My new Tacori Rosebud setting and w-band

Laney, your set is gorgeous! I just love it! The ring I chose was the first tacori ring I tried on.....before I even knew who / what "tacori" was. I fell in love with it. If I didn''t decide right then and there that this was the set for me, I may have very well ended up looking at / falling in love with the rosebud setting, too. It''s just magnificent and looks stunning on you.

do you know what size the two side diamonds are? and color? How does the color of the side match with the center? I think Tacori uses G, how does it look next to your center F? Thank you!

I don''t know exactly the size of the two side diamonds. If I had to guess I think they are between .09-.10 But I may be off. The color really is fine. The center stone is sent much higher than the other stones of the band -the comparison is hard to see if at all. The band just blurs together in one big sparkle.

I too think G/H is the color range for the diamonds. After reading a recent post by old miner... I''m lead to believe the "smaller" diamonds may look a bit whiter due to their size. I''ll leave the technical to him. But they do look very white.

Thank you. I am thinking and concerned amount what I am about to do. I really like this 8star J color 1.6 and thinking of setting it in a tacori setting similar to yours. I am concerned about the two G color side stones in the setting. Do you think it will make the center more yellow appearing?

Hi there Laney!

I have another question about your set. How do you think the bands rate in terms of their width? Are the band and ring the same width? Do you consider them too thin, or just right? I have this set on order and the other day tried on the set that ninasstar has and I thought it felt more substantial and now I am having doubts! I''m not too fond of really thin bands, and when I tried the rosebud it felt normal width, but now I don''t remember and I''m worried maybe I should have gone with the other band, or had tacori custom the rosebud to make it thicker.

Argh! Let me know what you think about the widths of these bands. Someday my FI says I can upgrade to a 1.5 or 2 and I know you have a 1.5 so I dont want the stone to overpower the band. My current stone is 1.07

Your ring set is absolutely breathtaking! The first time I saw the Rosebud setting in a magazine, I fell in love. I''ve been bugging my boy to reset my solitaire into a similar setting for my birthday.

I''ve been following your threads and looking at the ads more closely and decided that the ornate band was not for me. I like the way the stones are layed out but am not really one for the vintage styling. So I imagine my ring will end up looking something like Liz''s ring, in keeping with the two little sides and the semi-eternity pave band.

Hi -

I still am unsure of exactly the carat weight of the side stones. My center is 1.5 (if that gives you any perspective). I would say that they are what you estimate .17 to .2

They are about 3 milimeters in diamter.

I ordered the Tacori setting that NinaStar has, I think it will be ready end of December.
I tried both the RoseBud setting and the Koala setting on, and the Koala setting
was alittle thicker, I picked the Koala because I liked the diamond sitting alone without
other diamonds next to it, plus my center stone is 1.51 and thought the thicker band
would look better. I love the Rosebud, and if I had a 1 carat size diamond for the
center I would have order it. Also, I got the diamonds all the way around like
NinaStar. I hope I don''t have any problems with sizing. I tried on the exact ring
and made sure it fit perfectly before ordering it in my size.

I have a question for Laney. I was wondering if people you don''t even know ever
complement you on your Tacori setting. I have never had a complement on my
ring, I have had it for 10 years, and was wondering if people actually complement you
because it is so beautiful. I hope that I get complements on it, that is why im asking.

CarolynW: I recently received (last Tuesday) a Michael B. three-sided pave e-ring! I have rec''d SOOOO many compliments on it. When I was shopping, people would look at my hand and ooohh and aahhh over my ring.. Mostly, they mentioned how they had never seen anything like it before and mentioned how they''d never seen a diamond sparkle so much....those were the two biggest compliments!!! I had about 10-12 people compliment it in one day...crazy!!!

The tacori is a beautiful piece and I am sure you will be complimented on it!

i think i will stick to the b&m like you, just so i can have a point man to talk to if i have any problems with the ring...that''ll be worth any extra i might pay in taxes. .. al thought hte price they quoted me was lower than the online price....hmmmm better make sure about exactly what they''re including int he quote...

I hope that is the same for the Tacori Koala ering and matching band that I have ordered.
I was just wondering, because it seems like people look but they never compliment.
If i get compliments, then that means the ring truly is beautiful. I know it will be beautiful
to me, but I often wonder if I have bad taste, usually I do. But, NinaStar got one too
and it looks beautiful on her, so hopefully it will work for me too.

Just so you know - some people don''t come right out and compliment your ring - they just admire from afar! I am more apt to comment now as I have one -- but before I was engaged, I just look. (so you may have had lots of silent admirers.
