I have yet to share anything in the show me the bling forums, but spent a lot of time the last month or so in the Rocky Talky section. In short...I have the most patient fiance in the universe. He originally let me pick out my ring....but we were about to buy a house and I wanted to go modest so I choose a .80ct Princess cut in a tiffany style solitaire setting. Less then a year later I was bored with it and thought jazzing it up into a 3 stone setting would do the trick....gulp.....nope....so now here a mere 9 months later in receipt of my brand new e-ring...a 1.366ct, G color, VS1, AGS Ideal, ACA Princess by WF ...set in their Legato Micro Pave setting with matching halo band..... (It's amazing that my fiance still wants to marry me!!)

Words can not express how magnificent this stone is. My .80ct can not even begin to compare to this....there are no words. Honestly.
I will admit, my size 7 fingers are not doing me much justice...and I still long for a larger stone...but the fire and brilliance of this one is simply amazing. I took it outside for a few moments, tried it on and have put it back in the box for now. Strangely enough, I am hesitant to wear it....what I am afraid of...I am unsure!

In any event....here are a ton of photos...some with the e-ring alone, a couple good fire shots (not too shabby for a princess cut!), a few with the matching band and a few comparison shots between the old and new ring...

Okay, that's all for now. I absolutely LOVE the legato head!!!

Please tell me it looks somewhat substantial on my fatty fingers?

Congrats!! Your ring is beautiful ;)

ooh!!!! I also love the legato head! This ring is so pretty! I love love love it! And awesome fire shots! I bet it looks better in real life too!

OK sorry for all the exclamation points, I just get really excited about sparkles :) :) :)

Also I think that the size looks really good on your hand...and your fingers don't look fat by any means! That size looks absolutely perfect on your hand, definitely substantial but not too big. I really think it looks awesome and the set looks great together! I also like it a lot more than your 3 stone (although that is beautiful too!) How does the sparkle/fire of the diamonds compare?

What do you mean your not wearing it you crazy woman! People deserve to see that stunner!!

septsparkle is it insured? I would wear it...that is why you got it...to wear it and enjoy it!!! plus how on earth could you even take that off???

Sept, I think it looks great and very substantial! I think the delicate band really makes the diamond stand out more! Enjoy it!

It is beautiful! Love your rings.

Can not be compared. I had the other stone appraised 2x (initially and then when I reset it) and both appraisers told me it was a very nice stone and oh'ed and ah'ed a few times while looking at it....and it looks like a total dud compared to the ACA stone.

It isn't insured yet...I assume I have to get it appraised first and will have to make an appt for that (and pay for that...again...last time it was like $150!). Unless the letter of verification will work...but I'm assuming that's a little inflated and I don't want to pay a higher premium then I have to...I'll call my insurance company in the morning. I have my jewelry insured as a rider on my homeowners.

You guys are so funny...I don't know why I'm not wearing it. I'm crazy. I think I'm afraid of it. LOL
Thank you for the kind comments. I just REALLy wish my fingers were tiny!!

I think you can use the letter of verification but it is probably wise to get an appraisal...you could always use the letter of verification to start the policy early...

it is really interesting to hear the comparison from someone who is holding both diamonds in her hand! I have seen some videos but have not been able to compare princess cuts in person...so it is good to hear that everything I have been reading/viewing on videos translates to real life! I am glad you are thrilled with the ACA, please do take more pics!

Yeah, you are probably right, best to get an appraisal. Not sense in skimping now. We already shelled out the big bucks! I will continue taking photos...of course my camera battery died and it's charging now. Which is sad because I'm going to miss all the lovely light of the sunset.

There really is no comparison at all between the two stones. The ACA literally sparkles across the entire stone...every where you look...it's insanity. And, I can even see the arrows on the tiny little melee stones with the hearts/arrows viewer they sent...and these stones are SOOOO tiny I was shocked to see that. I'm trying to figure out a way to use the view and take a photo of what I see with my camera....we'll see.

Your new set is beautiful, I love how the centerstone really pops, and the tiny stones on the legato give just enough bling to compliment it. Makes me want to reset my solitaire!!!!!!

BTW, are you keeping the 3-stone too? That would be awesome as a RHR, they'll be a well-matched set.

So stunning! My first thought about being scared to wear it is that the head looks easy to knock off, but I am SURE if that was a problem, they wouldn't be selling it! Wear it proudly! :appl: :appl: :appl:

I am keeping the 3 stone. As crazy as I am and as much as I switch-a-rooed I can't bear to part with my original e-ring stone.
It's a wee bit tight on my right hand, but I'm still loosing weight for the wedding and I think another 5-10lbs and it'll be a bit more comfortable.

I'm pretty careful with the top of my rings...it's the underside that gets beat up...I'm always quick to crank a screwdriver, or do something else that will rub on the inside of my hands (I know I can no longer be like this with this setting)...once I get it insured...I won't worry much about knocking the head off...but I guess for now that's always a possibility. Though I'm assuming they would have modified the setting by now if they had prior issues...hopefully anyway.

Wow I just love that set

Look at the sparkle on that thing

that's a beautiful set, and looks just wonderful on your finger! I love the basket.

That is a beautiful ring and a beautiful stone and it's exquisite on your hand. You have to be relieved and pleased about your new ring. Just out of curiosity, what made you move away from the three stone to the micro pave? And I agree with all others on here......wear it!
Good luck with your wedding.

It's beautiful! The princess is so bright white and sparkly and the setting so delicate. Looks perfect on you. Congrats!

SS-

Your ring is gorgeous  and looks HUGE on your hand :o

Enjoy dear :))

OH, I DIE! I JUST DIE! Your set is a knock out! :naughty:

I order you to wear that ring lady!!! It takes getting used to, but it looks awesome on your hand, and you deserve a huge sparkly like that!

Clean your three stone. Soak in hot water with a drop of dish soap and a spray of glass cleaner, then brush with a baby toothbrush. It will make a huge difference. Then keep your new ring clean to. It has a HUGE affect on diamond optics to keep it clean!

Ohh so pretty! Which part is the "Legato" look?

Thank you! I am quite relieved and pleased!!

Don't get me wrong I still love three stone rings...love em...but part of the reason I switched is that I really like the simplicity of the thinner band and also thought it might help the stone pop a bit more and be the "star of the show" if you will. I actually rocked back and forth between the legato sleek line solitaire and the micro pave, I ultimately choose the micro pave and I'm very happy with it. It's REALLY micro...hehe...I mean these diamonds are SO small...and basically in the sun I see little flashes of fire (which surprised me to see coming off such tiny stones) and then in indoor lighting I notice little shimmers of sparkle. It's just enough to be a little extra "something".

Another part of it, may have been that I didn't get rid of my three stone ring...I still have it and I am not sure if I will pull it apart or keep it as a ring, but I'm surely not letting go of the original stone he proposed with! :)

---------

LibraMom, You always know just what to say! :saint: I'm really, really loving this ring!

-------

Sparklenut, thanks so much! The more I stare at it the more I'm falling in love!

----------

Dreamer...You got it. I will obey! Thanks for the reminder to clean the three stone. Is the baby toothbrush safe for the micro pave too? I have an US, but I know that's controversial and mostly I can be lazy about taking it out to use it as often as I should anyway.

---------------

On another note...both Liza (sales) and Becca (photography) BOTH emailed me today to see how I liked the rings. I thought that was really nice. The service is so personalized for an online business! Becca sent me these shots to use that don't have the WF logo on them so I can post them here...

Glamour shots...
