I just wanted to come back and say that I hope you have them insured! You said something about being afraid of losing one, and diamond earrings over a certain amount just have to be insured for peace of mind. Those are really gorgeous!

Aww, thank you ladies! I love them more and more each day.

Same friend who gasped that they were simply "too big" asked me again, over the weekend, what people say when they see them. I asked her what she meant and she said, "well, dont they notice how BIG they are?" To which I replied that no one else has said they were too big. People have oohed and aahhed about how pretty it is, but never commented that they were too big

. Her own sister commented that the size was just perfect so ...

I have also solved the droop problem by buying those small plastic discs that I insert (kinda like a washer

) prior to putting on the back.

DS, I am actually in the process of getting all my schtuff insured via a rider with my homeowner''s policy. I lost a 2.37ct emerald cut diamond 4 years ago (was cleaning up after a party so I took it off, wrapped it in a paper towel and set it on top of the sink ledge - the following morning, it was gone

). Thanks for the reminder, gotta follow up with my agent.

However, knowing what I know now, I may have thought twice about having screw backs - they are suucchh a pain to put on and remove! I''ve dropped the backs twice and had to pay my kids $10 to find them

. However, I love the security that they give me - I know that my earrings are not going anywhere unless someone were to cut my lobes off

!

As you already know, this ring is not mine For a moment there, I thought it was until I realized that mine has baguettes on the side! And the only reason that I had mine with me was because I was going to stop by my other jeweler''s place to have the baggs taken out for a future project and scrap the platinum.

Where did you find it? And, more importantly, what were you going to have set in it

?

I saw a bypass ring at the San Marino Single Stone with a pink colored stone and a green colored stone (I didn''t look up close, but Im guessing a pink sapp and a peridot) and it was pretty. Geez, Im making myself change my mind about scrapping the setting now
