That''s one of the weird and wonderful things about OECs. When I looked at the pics of your ring, I thought the warm colour looked really similar to my OEC which has been appraised as a K (though I call it an L). However, when I wear it with my G-H colour eternity band, the OEC looks a lot whiter. I think they are so reflective that they ''take on'' the colour of their setting or surrounding diamonds!Date: 9/27/2007 2:10:30 AM

I really appreciate all the compliments. I live overseas and had to rely on family and a great jeweller to get this project done for me (I think the diamond has traveled about 10,000 miles since August). My Dad has always refered to the diamond as the yellow diamond. The poor thing has been appraised as a J, K and an I. When my mom had it set in a pendant, it was 14 kt gold and the stone did look a lot warmer. I have always loved sapphires and since they are my birth stone, it seemed the perfect fit. I also don''t think DH would have sprung for anymore diamonds at the moment.
SDL - Thank you so much for the compliments. I spent a lot of time looking at your ring and at Patty''s trying to decide exactly what I wanted. You were both my inspiration and I definately have to give the two of you the credit for what I chose. Your rings are absolutely beautiful. I love the color that sapphires bring to a ring.
I wear a size 5.5. The eternity band is a size 6 with a horseshoe spacer. I was worried that my knuckles would keep me from getting it on, so I went a little big.
