Thanks for the kind comments, all of you.

Sundial,
Did you go cruising again?
Not this time Harriet. I was in Houston visiting my mother. I did get to do some shopping though which was nice since I live in a pretty small town.

Nonetheless, I hope you had a good visit.

Thanks Harriet. It was nice to spend some time with my mom. It was a real treat to come back and see your pretty new setting though!

Harriet,
Your ring is breathtaking and certainly worth the wait. The setting is simply elegant. I am sure you will get many compliments after people are blinded by the blaze. This is a story with a really happy ending.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! It is GORGEOUS!!

Thank you!
Harriet, I was trying to find a thread for someone not too long ago, and "that thread" came up in the search. I started reading it again (don''t ask me why, lol) and I think it''s one of the best threads. While I realize it was not meant to be a funny thread, it does have a really hilarious section to it.....

Which part? Remember Diamondseeker''s spin-off thread? I can''t believe you read the whole thing again.

It starts building up on about pg. 7, gets truly funny on the next page, and goes on for a few as I recall. I honestly had the best time reading it again. We have some very funny people on here.

Harriet,

I just saw your stone and your ring for the first time, having been directed to this thread from another thread about beautiful solitaires. I have to say that I think your setting is incredibly tasteful and effective; it is very understated and it lets your gorgeous diamond do the "talking". I hope you don't mind my posting a photograph of it in the other thread. Anyone looking at solitaires should see it!

Wear it in good health!

Deborah

Hi Deborah,
I don''t mind at all. Thank you for your kind words.

What a delicious photo, in more ways than one.

Harriet,

Ditto what Ellen said

Am I off the photo-taking hook?

That is a great photo Harriet. Did your hubby take it? We need more. How about some close up shots and a few more hand shots?

Now, now, don't be greedy.

My food photographer-reviewer pal took the picture. He has a few more, if he can be persuaded to let me have them (he's a fussy one).

Off topic...what kind of watch is that you are wearing? It looks purdy :-)

Thanks! It''s from Franck Mueller (Cintree Curvex). I''m contemplating changing the bracelet to a leather band. What do you think?

Where are those extra pictures Harriet?
In my opinion I am not big on watches with leather bands. I think your watch looks great the way it is.

They are hidden in my friend''s hard drive.
I''m afraid a leather band will be less versatile.

Can you change it easily (i.e. switch back and forth?). If not, I''d say keep the one you have. It is very striking and looks great on you!!

Oh and the ring is nice too

Yummmmmm...What were you eating?

Your ring and watch are beautiful together! That solitaire just may make me a round girl after all.

Sticky toffee pudding. Dessert and jewellery -- two of my great loves.

That is a great picture, Harriet! Food and diamonds...definitely two of my favorite things as well!

I love the FM watch just as it is! Don''t change that band!
