I know that emeralds and tsav probably don't look the same but here was my experience. I took my yellow diamonds with me when I was buying a gem at Pala Gems in Fallbrook. I noticed that you have to get the look just right. I thought my light yellow diamonds would look great next to the tsavorite but It didn't look good with the "medium dark" colored tsavorite. Instead, the tsav looked best with white diamonds. I think it had to do with the tsavorite being more cooler (maybe bluer) that didn't match with the warmer yellow stones. It could have been a difference in tone or saturation also. My diamonds looked much better with a lighter colored more yellowy toned tsavorite. Sorry if this post doesn't make much sense.

It makes sense. Thanks!

What about your emerald set with pink sidestones? DD and I were playing online at AJS Gems and in my recently viewed section a pink tourmaline and tsavorite were side by side. The colors were really pretty together. I instantly thought of your emerald. You could halo it in rose gold and vivid pink diamonds! DD was eyeing a $300,000 pink radiant

Hey, you''re the one who''s starting her young! Pink diamonds? Where will I get the $$$?!

haha! As soon as she perked up and drooled over the pink diamonds I showed her a some pink tourmalines. She was just as impressed.

Tiny pink diamond melee are only double the cost of white diamonds. And it would be purty!

Try showing her some rose quartz instead.

It would be purdy.

Good idea. For $20 she can have her very own 3.5 ct stone! She would make bling for her Barbies with it.
