Hey sorry, I wasn''t around last night because my parents were here because they came so my mom could see me try on the wedding dress this morning that I ended up BUYING!

So no email/PS for me since last night, but then I saw my email when I got to work just now and OHHHHMYGOODNESS IT IS SO PERFECT!!!!!!!! I''m sooo glad you held out for the radiant, because it just looks like your setting was made for that stone!!!! SOOOOOOO GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

I''m hoping I soon have good news for you all of a new job and a new engagement! I had a 2nd interview last Friday and will know this Friday if I make it into the final cut.... It felt pretty good! It would be a 10K a year increase! And after watching an engagement commercial yet again last night- I told Kevin the expiration date for our engagement was Dec. 31. I told him I didn''t feel I probably would need to nag him about it- he said he didn''t think that would be necessary. It will be perfect and honestly, with this stressful job search and possible move and him finishing school I''m so GLAD he''s waited to propose!

But I know he''s a not as intricate in details as I am. I would LOVE a surprise, and I know there will be one no matter what.

I don''t mind geting to try it on for only a minute, and then letting him take it away.

I know this is killing you, but I agree that you should not look at the ring. You have seen the picture and you know it is gorgeous. But wait to see it in person until the big moment!!!

Hey AmberWaves. Congratulations!!! Don''t know if you saw my post last Friday, but I was home from work when my ring was delivered (complete surprise for me since I wasn''t even sure if he had ordered it yet!). When my boyfriend got home, he was a littled bummed it came when I was there - It was supposed to be delivered the day before when he was home. I obviously wanted to see it, but didn''t push at all. I only asked once, and he agreed that I should look at it to make sure everything was right, and it''s gorgeous!!! I got to try it on, but then it went back in the box. I don''t know how long he''s going to make me wait (hopefully not until my birthday in May), but I don''t think it''s going to take away from the surprise too much. Actually, it made me more relaxed than I''ve been. I am so excited to get the ring and be officially engaged, but seeing the ring has made me less impatient. Now I KNOW it''s on the way and it''s perfect. I can''t show it off yet, but that''s ok because I know he has it and wants to marry me! Like you said, I''m sure he will make the proposal a surprise anyway, even if you''ve seen the ring. Good luck, and I hope it''s perfect!!!

Thanks guys! Well, no handshots, BUT, my ring is gorgeous.

I am absolutely in love with it, and I know everyone on here says, "I''ve never seen a ring sparkle like that", but I haven''t!! It''s amazing. It''s gorgeous. It''s the sparkliest thing I''ve ever seen, much less had! I''m in awe, and I can''t believe it. My boyfriend let me wear it so I could go upstairs and show my neighbor, and she about died! She was like, I''ve never seen colors come off a ring like that!!! I just kept moving my hand so I could see it sparkle. I am SO glad I waited for the radiant. Seattle- I totally reccomend you do the same!! I almost wore it to work today, but then I decided that it''s just insane, to wear the ring that he hasn''t even proposed with. Last night he put the box in my hand, and I was shaking, and hyperventilating- funny, because even though he didn''t propose with it, it was just like I was in heaven! I put it on, and sat on his lap, and he said, "Do you want to wear it now?" And I said, no, I don''t. And he said, "Good, because I want you to have something sweet to tell people when they ask how you got engaged, and DIsneyland is only 10 days away!" So it''ll be at Disneyland on March 31st!! Yay! I know it''s not a surprise, really, but all the ways he could do it there, I''m okay with that. I don''t know what I''m more excited about- The proposal or Disneyland!!!

Amy, don''t think you''re lazy, I am SO guilty of skipping to the good parts of threads, then I miss something and have to go read the whole thing all over again!

Anyway, I came here looking to see what kinds of settings there are, and the relative prices. I had read in a magazine that RB are the cheapest stone for their size. Psssht. Anyway, I love RB, wanted a good one carat size. Then I saw Albi''s cushion. I loved it (still do), because I got sick of the RB, I wanted to be UNIQUE (amongst my friends and family, I mean). Then I saw a radiant, and I loved the shattered glass look of it. The one thing I ddin''t want was a roundish stone. I wanted a rectangular stone. Never wanted a princess, I just don''t like the sharp edges, and then (LONG RAMBLE) I loved the cut corners of an emerald. SO, I decided on a few things before we went looking: I wanted something different from the RB, I wanted a rectangular shape, I wanted the cut edges, or edges that aren''t sharp. We go to Robbins Bros, and I ask to see emeralds, radiants, and cushions, all with the idea "I''m getting a cushion". Well, I didn''t like the plainess of an emerald (in fact, it was only Robbins Bros. emeralds that were plain, but whatever), and I didn''t want a cushion, but I did want a radiant, she sparkle, the cut, the cut corners, the length. So we got WF on the search for our perfect stone, and found the one. Crap that was long-winded.

Amber!! 10 days!! Oh my goodness, so exciting!! I love Disneyland!! But you have to promise to visit LIW often ...

(because maybe ... someday ... I may be getting my dream ring w/ a radiant too ... whether that be 10 weeks from now or 10 years from now ... hrmpf.)

Seattle, there is no way I''m going to leave LIWs!! I love it here, it''s been like a home to me these past 6 months. Wow. Anyway, I couldn''t talk up radiants more, they''re gorgeous! I couldn''t be happier, I''ve got to tell you.. And.. it''s 9 days, right? 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th. 31st... That''s how I''m doing it!

I just hope to death he doesn''t make me wait until the sun goes down (6:11pm, I already checked), or until the fireworks (10pm!!!!!). Good lord, something else to worry about! I''ll need decent sun shots in order to have the pictures come out right!!

Ha ha ha, Amy, that''s what I was coming back for-- 8 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a bit of an accident (I fainted at the market), and my boyfriend had to come pick me up, so he let me wear the ring for a little bit while i was laying down.

But then, I took it off, and made him take it away, and DON''T LET ME SEE IT, no matter how many times I beg. I mean, a little more than a week, and then I get it. I can wait that long for something that will be a great story, and a beautiful moment. This morning, we were talking about what rides we''re going to go on first. He was like, we can leave early and go have breakfast. I guess from the look I gave him, he realized that wasn''t the best idea.

I want to be there super early (they are open from 8am-12am!!), so we can go on Space Mountain. Last time we were there, we waited in line for Space Mountain for 3 HOURs. Because I had gotten sick, too, my back was aching and I was just blah. Anyway, I am so excited!! Disneyland!!!

Anchor, I don''t know what happened. I had eaten, I had plenty of water, it wasn''t overly hot... I think my blood sugar was low, I''m not diabetic, but sometimes I need a little sugar boost to keep me stable. I ended buying 4 bags of cookies (Pepperridge Farm- they were on sale!) and a chocolate milk. That helped me. Usually I''d have some orange juice, but I''m allergic to citrus.

So I can only have candy! What a shame.

8 Days!! It is killing me, seriously. I don''t know where he hid the ring again, darnit. I will not cave.
