Thanks Gypsy. Caught a bug from my two little grandboys. Everytime I get sick, it goes right into bronchitis with me.

I was laying down, but coughed to much, so got up.

Not a sparkly, but a 1/2 hour ago I ordered a Feraone Menella yellow gold necklace from Bergdorf Goodman's. Saw it at Neiman's but now it's gone so ordered it online. Get it next week. Trying to build up my yellow gold collection. Most of what I have is soooo outdated.

Hold up was with engraver. Ocean had been calling them daily. FINALLY she tracked down the ring, the engraver had forgotten all about it. So it was rushed. But it's Friday now, and because of the whole stuff sitting around till Monday thing, nothings getting mailed out till Monday.
Ellen, if you were here, I'd go out for a few cold ones for sure. Had a really rough week (stuff with Mom, some backsliding, didn't post, just too emotionally rung out) and John's not here this weekend, so I'm more than willing to split a bottle of wine or to toss back a few cold ones.

You've got a Coach Madison watch (wrist shots are in order!)... I'm sincerely flattered and don't think it's weird at all, just great that you got a watch you love as much as I love mine. NOW if John were a less common name (like Raul Jose Van Dame-- a man of varied lineages) , and the watch was a limited ediition Patek Phillipe AND you suddenly stared sporting cat AVs that looked suspiciously like my little monsters, I'd be concerned. HAPPY BRITHDAY!!!!

Skippy, nope Wink, Ocean, John, and Neil and I'm all blameless. Just the engraver's fault. And I appreciate Ocean's caution re: leaving packages over weekend in mailing hubs. And Wink offered to cut himself out of the loop... so it's just going from Ocean to Wink on Monday. AND honestly, now the John is gone... it would have felt strange to get the ring without him. I really do want to have him get it first, and give it to me. It means more that way... even though I commisioned and designed the thing. Strange but true. He's a wonderful man, and this is about us... and a big part of us is missing this weekend, so it's okay that it doesn't arrive on Saturday, I want him involved. Thank you for the compliments Skippy! I really appreciate it.

I broke down and asked Ocean for a pic... but she knows me too well, and emailed back to confirm before sending anything and sanity returned. So while I was tempted, I did not spoil the surprise. Nails have grown out a wee bit though, on the plus side. And I've re-read most of my Terry Pratcett Night Watch books this weekend for distraction. John is having a wonderful visit home, and will be back tomorrow at about 10pm. It's been a restful weekend for me though, there were a ton of people visiting mom and taking care of her, so I stayed home, and well... this is the first weekend in months I've not gone anywhere, just tended to the house and myself and rested. And while I love John, this apartment is tiny, and a weekend apart was actually very nice, especially since it was a recreational weekend for him, and I know he's enjoying himself. I'll make sure to thank him for you all when he takes the pics. Just babbling now. LOL.
