Oh, I'm sorry, should of mentioned I am CANADIAN, and we spell many words differently that Americans, such as colour(color), grey(gray), centre(center), honour(honor), adieu (in my books, "a do" is a female deer..LOL)Date: 2/17/2008 6:35:08 AM

Actually, ado is correct in this context beau. Your spelling means to bid farewell.Date: 2/16/2008 11:22:58 PM

So without further 'adieu'
Lovely ring.
And thanks.
Hi beau, don't forget about how we like to add those extra l's, such as in jewellery, travelling, etc. Very British really.Date: 2/18/2008 9:16:12 AM

Actually Ellen is correct about ado/adieu and a doe is a female deer, but spelling and words aside, it really is all about the bling!!
I came by, coffee in hand, to have another look at your new ring Ellen. I love your solitaire too, it is gorgeous!
eta: Ellen, your hint makes so much sense now....hehee....I should have thought that, hmmmm, perhaps she could be getting two items....instead of trying to incorporate both clues into one....
Actually Beau, this thread is all about Ellen and her gorgeous new bling, so let''s keep things on the right track.Date: 2/18/2008 10:19:24 AM

I want 5mm - I love the way yours looks! I wasn''t sure whether to go for 4mm or 5mm but now I do!Date: 2/18/2008 8:06:40 AM

Maise, Rose, k, and LG, thank you!
Maise, that''s just it, I wasn''t sure what to tell you. That would be a good ''guess'' though. How wide is your band going to be?
Rose, what a nice thing to say, thanks again! And I''m glad you came out to play, it''s much more fun than lurking.
k, that would really make the diamonds pop in brushed yellow gold. Love that idea.
Surfgirl, no, it''s WG. So it''s not hefty at all, which I prefer.
