Need a Diamond Band to Go With My Sapphire Diamond Halo Ring

Update: Need a Diamond Band to Go With My Sapphire Diamond H

Hello again PS!

Well my choice is finally narrowed down to two bands! I just have to decide which size - and it is unbelievably hard to choose so I hope you will help point me to the right choice!

Once again I know there are some who question The Natural Sapphire Company, but I have to give them a big shout out! I couldn't find any local jewelry stores selling marquise diamond bands (to try on) - so to make it easier for me to visualize the band with my Halo they sent me two renderings to choose from! I also needed to go with a half eternity band in order to save on cost and again they obliged! I could not get any of these services from recommended online vendors so I really am grateful to TNSC for going out of their way to accommodate me. :D

Ok, my heart tells me I want the larger band, but logic tells me to go with the smaller band. Anyone prefer a larger wedding band to their ER? I also knew there would be a big gap between the rings, but is that really bad? I don't think I would get a spacer because my halo is a curved basket, which means nothing would sit flush underneath it so I don't think a spacer would help. I also don't want too many rings on one little, albeit chubby finger.

Please share any and all opinions!
Thank you!!

If you have difficulty in visualizing the gap, can you ask NSC if they have any handshots of the two together? The rings do not have to be identical since obviously they don't have your rings. The gap on Periwinkle's ring is smaller because she doesn't have a halo. The gap on yours look significant. Right now, you see "white space" which doesn't look obvious but skin tone stands out in the gap.

Hi Chrono!

Yes, I know there will be a large gap. My finger still has the mark from my old wedding band that I had worn for 10 years without removing so I use that to gauge how the gap will look! :D

I have seen photos of others who also have a gap between their bands and it doesn't look bad. I was worried more about the band overwhelming the sapphire, but I think they compliment each other?

NSC did show me some handshots of a Diana ring with prongs and bezel setting, but it didn't help me at all. Worst case scenario I will just have to wear the halo on my right hand. I think I'm choosing the larger band. The shape of the marquise is just exquisite and I think I would like to stare at the .20 over the .10. :naughty:

Hi SapphireSun,
They both look gorgeous!! I was all ready to say that you should go for the narrower band, so that it was approx the same width as your halo, but then I read your post that you're leaning towards the larger band so you can enjoy the marquises.
So, my two cents - definitely do that!!! The marquises will be stunning, and you will appreciate the gap more because it means you get to enjoy them in all their glory.

Can't wait to see pics!

Hi PeriwinkleGirl!

Thank you for posting your thoughts! I know - a more delicate band is nicer with the ER, but those little marquise are really cute and I want to be able to see them even without my contact lens. My husband also doesn't want me to have any regrets later (I don't know what that really means because he has to know I'll want something bigger in another 10 years) so he prefers the larger band.

I hope they look really nice together on my finger - I'm expecting that it'll be chunky with both rings and that gap will be there, but somehow I'm sure I'll manage.

I'll be sure to return and post pics when I get the ring! Thanks again for checking back in!

I'm sure you'll manage! Somehow I think the sparkles will really make up for any other problems!

I used to wear a stack of three rings! (and none of them were thin little spacers either!).

Looking forward to your pics.

Enjoy!
