I think 10 pointers in the eternity band would be a max. Vesper has 8pointers with her 2ct and it looks perfect, so going a tad bigger would be propotional for your diamond.

Vesper''s set is actually one of my very favorites, and I think that''s because the width of the eternity band closely matches the width of her e-ring band. She has a lovely set.

Aww, thanks you guys! Gleam, I love your set so much also, that I am having my solitaire reset in a 6-prong solitaire this spring as a push present when our baby is born

I''ve always loved the look, and after seeing your ring, I was convinced.

I tried on a lot of different size pointers with my 2 ct solitaire, and I thought that I wanted 10 pointers, but I felt like it was overshadowing my ering a bit - my finger is a size 5, and the ering band is between 2.5 - 3 mm. Then I went to Tiffany''s, and tried on their bands, and they use 8 pointers. I thought it looked perfect, and was just the width that I wanted (2.8 mm). I had Whiteflash make my band to look like the Memoire, but with 8 pointers.

I do think that you could pull off 10 pointers since you have a larger engagement diamond than mine. Honestly, you could probably go even bigger than that, but you should definitely try on different sizes before you commit. I was really sure that I wanted 10 pointers until I tried them on, and then I just liked the smaller size a little better ...

I also love the 5 stone look too, and with those you could easily go up to 15 - 20 pointers and that would be gorgeous too.

Hi Gleam, I am going to try to get my son at ucla to help via phone. I may be able to email them to him and he can figure it out. My problem has always been posting

that my photos are too large pixel wise and I had to jump through hoops to re-size on photo buck then post them here. My son who helped isn''t living here anymore

so I am stuck

. I think there are some photos of both on my old thread with my 1.70

Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing. Your whole set is lovely.

Gleam, nice rock! I had my 2.73 RB in nearly the exact setting you do now so I think I understand what you mean! Before I reset my stone, I tried on lots and lots of eternity bands. I agree that it''s hard to overshadow that size stone, but as you go bigger in carat weight on eternity bands, you will get less of that WOW effect for your solitaire.

I actually even felt shrinkage when I went too big on mondo eternity bands because my solitaire didn''t pop anymore and just got lost in there, I felt. If you want to keep the WOW huge rock effect, try on the whole gamut and see your personal range. In my search, I also looked at 5-stone bands and generally found that bands with 30 pointers each was the max for me to maintain the pop factor. Can''t wait to see what you get!
