Glad they sent you a box!
For future reference, I never send anything back in a branded or otherwise special box. The bench people are not going to be keeping up with those. It would be helpful if customers were told that in advance. In the case of two items like earrings, I'd wrap each in tissue paper and then place in a small ziploc bag. I put my name on that bag. Then I place that in a small box or padded enveope, also with my name on it. Then the small box or envelope is placed in the shipping box with enough stuffing that the inner box doesn't move. Many vendors require an inner and outer shipping box, so in that case there would be 2 boxes plus the one with the jewelry.
I recently ordered some little 2x2" ziploc bags either on ebay or Amazon. Now I can put each item in a separate little bag if sending more than one item. They are also great for travel as I don't want any pieces touching each other.
and now i know what you have all been talking about![]()
so glad you got it
anyone wanna post a pic of the valvet pouch that comes with silver purchases so i know what that looks like too (please i mean)
This is great advice, thank you!! But yes, it never occurred to me to not send in a box, and i hope they change their website instructions to include this fact. I've sent in repairs to bdg, and cvb, as well as dropped things off at local jewelers, and always gotten my box/pouch/whatever back. I wonder why some benches can handle this, and some cant?
Sorry, i hit post w/o writing anything bc dinner was burning, this is actually the pouch i got with my ring initially. They give these out like water. I have enough of em to choke a horse!!!
well its a very pretty colour pouch but i understand your issue
good for keeping silver earings in but not nearly nice enough for a more exspensive piece
This happened to me too but they ended up sending me a new box. I had to make several calls and did not appreciate what I had to go through to get my box back.
